Owner description: Relive the Kennedy era in this dynamic combination museum and library, where your visit starts with a short film and then leaves you on your own to explore a series of fascinating exhibits, including the Kennedy-Nixon debate, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the space program, 1960s campaign paraphernalia and displays about Jacqueline and other Kennedy family members. The striking, I.M. Pei-designed building overlooks the water and the Boston skyline.

“yes!”

This isn't the easiest attraction to reach, but it is worth the trip. Great History. Wonderful Spot. Definitely visit.

“If you love US history you must go”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

Visited it with my husband. We took train and a bus and is easy to get there but allocate at least 45 minutes to get there from downtown. If you like JFK history, this is a must do.

“Worth a couple of hours to browse...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

A unique glimpse into U.S. history and America's royalty the Kennedy's, or as I sadly overheard a local/townie point out to her soon-to-be Teen Mom daughter, "The Kennedy's wuh the Kahdashians back in theyuh day." To quote the great postmodern thinker Charlie Brown, "Good grief."

The library/museum is easily accessible by public transit (Red Line T stop and free shuttle bus) or by car (free parking lot). Carve out a couple of hours...This library/museum is a historical treasure and has mass appeal. It was encouraging to see the Young Adult aka "YA" demographic - the same demographic that considers Twilight, The Hunger Games, and 50 Shades of Gray as literature masterpieces - patiently combing through the library/museum. There is still hope for Millennials...

I am far from a history buff, but this place is filled with neat historical factoids and detailed historical context, and was a stark reminder of how I've become overly-dependent on unreliable sources of information like Wikipedia.

“Worth a visit if you are in the area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

The building itself is nice. The (almost empty) atrium is the best part. The walk along the bay is the best (if it's not too cold and windy). The exhibition is excellent but too simplistic.

The whole exhibit should take roughly 1-1.5 hours. One should allocate 1.5 - 2 hrs for visiting the JFK library.

“Wonderful tribute”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

We weren't sure what to expect on our visit - but what a fantastic experience.
This is a great tribute to JFK and the Kennedy family.
It covers JFKs life & history very well with poignant videos, pictures and memorabilia. Make this a must on your Boston visit.
Very easy to get to via the red line with a free bus from the station.
Enjoy!
