“A fun St Paddy's day weekend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

We'd been to Beantown Pub the last time we were in Boston and looked forward to another visit. Despite being there on St Paddy's Day with the huge crowds, we were able to find a table at lunch time. Their food is excellent as well. We were in the smaller room on the side which was less chaotic than the main part of the bar, but again, it was St. Paddy's Day and we knew it would be busy. It was fun to hear an impromptu playing of bagpipe music by a group who had been in the parade. I must compliment the 2 waitresses who were working in the room we were in. They were absolutely incredible and worked so hard to keep everyone's beer glasses full and quickly serve food to those who ordered -- and really kept their sense of humor with those who had "embibed a bit too much!" We came back later in the evening for another beverage and the same 2 waitresses were still working at an exceptional pace to serve the customers. All in all, a lot of fun in a terrific Boston pub!

“I like this hometown pub!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

It definitely has a Boston flair to it. You can watch your favorite sports teams play here while having a couple of drinks. As far as food goes, I only had some chicken fingers with dipping sauces. It was very good. The prices are average. You can also play some pool if you are up for it. It is in a very good location. It is close to the common, the theater district and downtown crossing.

“A fun relaxed place with live music”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

We went here in a group of 20 after our ice skating event at the Frog Pond in the Boston Commons. It is a nice sized place with a bar and table area in the front and tables and pool tables in the back. It is a bit on the noisy side, but less than some, more than others. The band playing that night was excellent. Not too loud and nice music. A limited food menu of typical appetizers and burgers, but all the food was very good. A fun time with friends.
