No warning of no smoking until they charged you 200.00 Made reservation with understanding of fireworks on 4th of July. There was NONE. We feel like a partial refund is in order to compensate for services promised and not rendered.

Thank you for staying with us over the 4th of July weekend and passing along your feedback. We are sorry that you felt mislead in some areas of your experience and we are looking at ways we can make all of the information more available prior to your stay. As you relayed, all of our rooms and indoor areas are smoke-free. We apologize for not providing you with the information more clearly. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again someday.

We have stayed here twice in the last 3 years. It clearly has moved down a notch since Omni took over. Stay here for the beauty of the hotel and the setting as well as the history. Don't go expecting the quality of the rooms decor to reflect what you paid. The Vanderbilt wing rooms have been renovated, however after seeing the view from our room in the Vanderbilt wing, we chose to stay back in the unrenovated Sammons wing. The views are better even though the rooms need an overhaul. The rooms are clean and have Keurig coffee makers. Ask for a high floor. The resort view is beautiful. Definitely eat dinner in the veranda.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor and a package with the breakfast buffet.

We loved every minute of our two day stay. The Spa was wonderful, the restarants met our ever expectations. All staff members were extremely hospitable and gracious. We always ask for the original building as the is the one we stayed in on our homneymoon, June 1961.

Service was great, the views were amazing, food was delicious. Great place to stay. The food was fair priced and the breakfast buffet was awesome but I think the bar is a bit overpriced. Cheap and easy to valet your car. Also has a lot of history to the building itself. Obama stayed there, I don't feel like I have to say much more.

My husband and I spent our 5 year anniversary here and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although the individual rooms are underwhelming for the price paid, the overall luxury that GPI has to offer is worth a visit. The Spa is WELL WORTH a day trip and the food, though a bit over priced, is quite delicious! The Blue Ridge Breakfast Buffet is hands down, the BEST breakfast buffet I've ever been to.

I didn't stay at the Grove Park Inn when I was in Asheville. But everyone said that I should go to see it. I went, and now I have the same advice. The building is unique, both outside and in. The view from the back of the Inn is gorgeous. We had dinner on the patio, with a view that went on forever. The food was OK, not great, but with that view, it didn't matter. Dinner was $25 each, including drinks, tax, and tip.

My husband I enjoyed every aspect of our vacation. Will at the golf shop was extremely pleasant and helpful. Lunch by the pool was delicious. Our room had an wonderful view. The bedding was very comfortable. Dinner at Sunset Terrace was excellent. Stan was a server and made ever effort to make our experience delightful. Breakfast at the Blue Ridge was an amazing experience. The buffet is unbelievable. Dinner at the Edison was enjoyable as well. The Spa was completely relaxing and reviving. Overall, both my husband I enjoyed ever moment and plan to return. Thank you so much for the memories.
