Very nice hotel just outside the gates of Biltmore. My room was clean and comfortable. Slept really well. The maintenance folks were fantastic when I had 2 very minor issues. They were prompt, courteous, and efficient. They apologized and fixed the problems with a great attitude...love that! The courtyard is lovely and I imagine it is beautiful in the warm weather. My room had a balcony which is a great option you don't see everywhere.

Hotel is very nice and surprisingly reasonable considering the wonderful location. It's right at the gates of the Biltmore and across the street from the Biltmore Village Shoppes. There is a TGI Fridays restaurant attached to the hotel. I prefer to eat at non-chain restaurants when on vacation, but many families would find that very convenient.

The pool/hot tub area was a little disappointing. It's clean, in good repair and well supplied with towels, but the only chairs are high tops...not very comfortable for sitting with a book.

We enjoyed our two nights stay at the Doubletree. My husband had to be in the area for work and I came along. We stayed in the premium king room. It was a nice room with a fridge and microwave. It had a nice view of the courtyard. The bathroom was surprisingly roomy, and it was well stocked. There is a shower only, no tub. The shower was large and had good water pressure. We enjoyed the room but next time will get a room with a balcony. The hotel is a short walk to Biltmore Village with all of its shops and restaurants. Also the trolley stops right in front of the hotel. All the employees I had contact with were friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk staff who arranged a late check out for me when my husband wasn't able to make it back before check out and Lorena who always took the time to say hello when she saw me around the hotel. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain while we were there but we made the best of it. We took a bottle of wine to the covered area by the courtyard and watched the rain. Very relaxing. If you have to be stuck inside because of the rain this isn't a bad place to be.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our king premium room but next time will get a room with a balcony

Stayed at this hotel after visiting the Biltmore. The location is EXCELLENT in regards to the Biltmore House and very easy to get to it. The staff were very welcoming, and the chocolate chip cookies were great as always. The room was great, however our room was supposed to be a balcony room and we were given a regular room. However, it was very clean. There was noise coming from the courtyard that you could hear. The pool area was good, but not alot of seating for people not swimming. There was a bar area set up as well. I found the Biltmore Village to be confusing, not easily laid out and didn't want to spend the time exploring so we opted for a steakhouse across the street for dinner. We did have the breakfast buffet, which was exceptional, including the service. This was a great property with EXCELLENT customer service, however I prefer the HIlton at Biltmore Park for the ease and convenience to shopping and eating.

Our family (3 boys plus mom and dad) stayed in a Doubletree suite on a recent trip to Asheville, NC and highly recommend it. The hotel is located in a great location -- there is a traffic light in the parking lot for easy in/out and you can also walk to the restaurants and shops in Biltmore Village. There is also a TGI Friday's restaurant attached to the hotel. The pool area is extremely clean and the hot tub works well. The hotel also has interesting displays regarding the Biltmore estate in the lobby. While you're there, check out Moe's BBQ and Biscuit Head nearby...

our base camp for a week. Close to Biltmore Village so we could walk. Short drive to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lovely patio in the center for sitting and relaxing. Connected to a Fridays. Best cookies ever! Desk staff was always friendly. Housekeeping could have been a little better but no real complaints. Check out the Tree house Lounge on Fridays on the patio.

Rooms were very clean. Staff was nice. Pillows are a little soft to my liking but that's just my preference.. Has a TGI Friday's that is attached, which we like because after a full day trip at the Biltmore we really didn't feel like going out again for the night. A tad pricey but to be expected due to the location. I would stay again
