“Good Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012 via mobile

Management tries very hard to please, some of the room in the hotel are not updated. The wifi works, all thought the best connection is on the AT&T option . Breakfast room during busy times can be a wait, although management is addressing this suggest that you pick up to take out or to your room. All in all a good experience and hotel is rated fairly, I would stay there again.

“Great Location, Staff, and Accommodations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

This hotel is not your typical doubletree, however, it offers courteous and professional staff that are willing to help you in any way possible, gorgeous views from the rooms (especially in the fall)! It is conveniently located near restaurants, the Biltmore Estate, and close to the downtown Asheville area. It was perfect for my trip. The only thing that would have made the property better would be to offer fridges in the guest rooms - but definitely was not a deal-breaker! I loved having a balcony attached to my room, and loved the decor and overall "feel" of the hotel. I even ate breakfast, which I normally do not do during hotel visits, and their breakfast was great - it had a great appearance, and tasted fantastic - definitely worth the money spent!

“Beautiful Hotel with amazing Staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

I recently had a chance to travel to Asheville and stayed at the Doubletree Biltmore Hotel. From the moment I entered the Hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful. Starting with the warm chocolate chip cookie delivered with a friendly smile. The rooms that my friends and I stayed in were very clean and kept that way throughout our visit. We sat outside on the lovely patio in the evening to share a bottle of local wine and the staff were gracious about getting wine glasses for us all.We were greeted every morning with friendly smiles and we met with the General Manager, Mr. Robert Foster. He was a true professional, courteous and extremely polite. He spent a little time with us offering suggestions on places to visit and some wonderful restaurants to check out. Thank you Mr. Foster for all of your help! This hotel is one of the friendliest, cleanest and most homey hotels that I've stayed at in a long while. It is located just down the street from Biltmore Village which is a quaint and charming shopping village with some truly delightful restaurants. The hotel is also only a block away from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. There is a trolley pick up directly in front of the hotel which offers a tour of the area and takes you to downtown Asheville. If you are thinking about going to Asheville, you should really check out the Doubletree Hotel Biltmore, you will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: The suites look down into a lovely courtyard and are very cozy and comfortable!

“Comfortable and quiet hotel in a very convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

We recently spent 3 nights at the Doubletree Hotel in Asheville and, for our needs, the hotel was an extremely good choice. My husband and I were first time visitors to Asheville and so weren't exactly sure what lodging location in the city would be best when making our advance reservation. We ended up picking the Doubletree for its location near the Biltmore House, which was on our itinerary. The hotel is practically just a stone's throw from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate, which was great. But we happily discovered that the hotel's location also provided easy access to and from I-40, to downtown Asheville, and to a nearby access point for the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a T.G.I.Fridays restaurant adjacent to the hotel, at which we had a very good meal, and there are numerous other restaurants (both local and chains) within a couple minutes' drive (including several within easy walking distance from the hotel).

The hotel itself was clean and very comfortable. It was also exceptionally quiet. While the hotel seemed fairly busy during our stay, we heard absolutely no noise from the hallway or adjoining rooms, although I should note that we did have an interior, court-yard facing room, which possibly helped keep the noise-level down. The front-desk staff was friendly and helpful when we needed to make a slight adjustment to our reservation and when we asked for information about the area.

All in all, we were quite pleased with this hotel and would definitely stay there again should we return to Asheville.

“Wonderful Hotel, But With a Caveat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

This Doubtree is quiet, comfortable, clean and well appointed. The hotel is in the Biltmore Village, convenient to I-40, shopping and good restaurants. So, it definitely suited our needs. And their breakfast buffet is large and very good. Our only complaint is that their staff isn't well trained. The hotel complex is sprawling, so we needed guidance knowing the most convenient place to park and how to get to our room. The gentleman at the desk seemed confused by our request. He fumbled around trying to figure out which direction was which, but then gave us a hotel map instead to figure it out ourselves. In the morning, when we went down for breakfast, we asked the clerk at the desk where their breakfast buffet was being served. She sent us to the opposite end of the hotel complex, a bit of a hike, when in fact the buffet was being served adjacent to the lobby that morning. She was unaware even though it was in shouting distance of her. We found it by asking other staff members when we arrived where she had sent us. The hotel needs to educate the staff about their hotel so that they can help their guests.
