“Best Pet Friendly Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2011

Stayed here as they are dog friendly. Nice hotel, very clean and located near Biltmore Estate. Rooms newly renovated, well lighted parking lot, coffee and snacks in lobby. Restaurant had a Pasta Bar for around $14.00 which was a little pricey. Ordered from a Italian delivery called Franks, it was OK and cheap. Very nice breakfast in the morning, complimentary. Berlinda, front office manager was terrific and a big help. Mario, maintenance man, delivered a microwave and frig to my room and checked with me later to see if there was anything else they could do. GREAT pet friendly hotel, fair price and great service from the friendly staff. No complaints from this picky guy.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have frig/micro, request upon reservation

My family enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel, and appreciated it for it's proximity to tourist sites (less than 10 minutes to the Biltmore and downtown areas). Hands down, this is one of the most pet friendly hotels I've seen, with many well-behaved dogs all around the property. We definitely appreciated that we could come and go with our greyhound with no issues at all.

We were told about the breakfast, but we opted to eat breakfast elsewhere. It was nice to know that it was available for free, though. The pool was another amenity that we noticed but did not use.

We did make use of the laundry facility on the 4th floor. It was a bit pricey, so bring lots of quarters! The front desk did make change for us, though.

Beds were comfortable, if not a bit on the soft side. Would have loved to have a mini-fridge in the room to cool our children's juices.

My only major complaint was that checking out was a nuisance. We checked out very early in the morning since we needed to drive to our next location several hours away, and the night auditor took a very long time to figure our bill. He just seemed generally grumpy, and it didn't help that there was a violent movie playing loudly on the lobby's television.

We apologize for your experience at check-out. This is not an example of our hotel and your comments have been brought to our front desk manager to resolve immediately. We chose this hotel for its convenience to the Blue Ridge Parkway on bicycle. This was our launching spot and the staff were very accommodating, allowing us to leave our cars parked in their lot while we rode off. The room was what you'd expect for a Holiday Inn. Breakfast too (included). Friendly and helpful staff (one desk clerk even took our picture for us as we took off on our ride). The only trouble was with other rowdy guests who were loud through the night. All in all a good place to stay outside of Asheville.

My spouse and I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore East on multiple occasions. We travel with our two labrador retrievers and have discovered that finding a hotel/motel that is decent to stay in and also welcomes our dogs is not always easy. This hotel is wonderful. The rooms are very nicely appointed, clean and have really comfortable beds. And that is just the part for us humans! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The grounds accommodate dog walking and we are not relegated to a sub-par room simply because we have our pets with us. We highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling with your 4-legged friends and need a place to stay in the Asheville area. The hotel is very close to the freeway, so getting around is easy too!

We visit Asheville at least twice yearly, and this is our favorite place to stay. The rooms are larger than those found in newer hotels and the refrigerator and microwave are always welcome. We often travel with our cat, and this is definitely a pet friendly place. The staff is wonderful, courteous and caring. We enjoy the mountain decor, and the location is perfect for visiting Asheville and Black Mountain.
We will be back soon!

We stayed here for just one night, but the staff truly was helpful and friendly.

The bedding was good quality, and comfortable and the room was clean and a fair size. We did not have time to check out the pool, but could see it from our room and it at least looked nice.

The location was probably the best feature of this hotel. It was easy to get to and close to a wide variety of restaurants. Overall, this hotel had everything you would typically expect from a 3 star hotel.
