Now let me qualify "best in Asheville" by saying there isn't much competition out there. Still, the food is pretty darn good. It is your standard Tex-Mex fare, with a few specialties thrown in. I love the Jose Cuervo fajitas that come with steak, chicken, shrimp and fish - a single order is enough for 2 very hungry adults, with some leftover. The fish is cooked perfectly every time, and I am really, really picky about how my fish is cooked.
Atmosphere are service are what you would expect from a busy Tex-Mex place. This ain't fine dining. The place is loud and BUSTLING - both Asheville locations (Brevard Rd and Tunnel Rd) - so service is rushed, chaotic and everyone looks like they are running from place to place. That said, special requests occasionally fall by the wayside. My advice - stick to the menu, and get everything you need from the waitstaff when they swing by (you will have to wait awhile if you miss your chance).
Margaritas (Tunnel Rd only) are your basic margaritas - nothing special, draft beers are an incredible bargain.
Be prepared for a wait during peak times. Brevard Rd has no waiting area other than outside (no fun in winter), Tunnel Road has a good-sized bar with attentive bar staff where you can get chips and a drink while waiting.
All in all, worth the wait and a good value.
