My wife and I stayed here while celebratingour 10th anniversary and found it to be a perfect place to relax. We were greeted by the owner, Greg, who is very personable and gave a quick rundown on amenities and our room. The B&B has a great seelction of movies availabe to watch in your room, coffee, tea and popcorn are avaialbe all day as well as a small fridge filled with sodas. We stayed in the library room which was nicely decorated, clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is served at 9 am and sitting with the other guests was a great treat. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here and would certainly come back for another stay in Asheville.

We had a friendly welcome and were shown around by the owner . A beautiful house and garden in a quiet street in Asheville , perfect location . A couple got married there that day . The room was at the top of the house with it's own little outside seating area . Comfortable bed and very clean , robes too . We could have drinks, water , coffee , coke etc anytime and homemade cookies were left for the guests . There were DVD's, chocolates , popcorn all available for us . In Uk you'd have to pay for all the extras but not here ! The breakfasts were tasty and we enjoyed socialising with the other guests . It's nothing like B+B's in England . If you're thinking of staying in this area, stay here . You'll love it , we did .

I can't believe North Lodge is #16 in Asheville. Should be higher! This was the perfect place for a weekend in Asheville. Wish we could have stayed longer. The room was comfortable and the details were just right. Breakfast was fabulous. I think we'll make the Egg Cheese Puff for our Christmas morning breakfast. This was our first B&B and the social interaction at Breakfast was just right. Greg was conscientious to everyone's dietary concerns. Lovely mix of young and hip with older guests made for fun conversation. Asheville is a great place to eat and walk and see the arts. If we get the chance to visit again, North Lodge on Oakland will definitely be our top choice.

This was our first stay at a B & B (we normally do Inns) and we thankfully picked a terrific one. The Lodge is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood and easy to get into town from.
We had the Marsh room on the 3rd floor and it was like our own little oasis. It was decorated beautifully, had the most comfortable king bed with plenty of pillows, a refrigerator & make-up table.There is even a small balcony where we had cocktails and my husband enjoyed his nightly cigar. It's the only room on the 3rd floor so it is totally quiet and very roomy.
The breakfasts were delicious and the amenities beyond expectations. There wasn't one thing that we would have needed that wasn't there...fresh cookies, coffees/teas, sodas, popcorn, DVD's, water, ice, WiFi, dishes of candies and those absolutely wonderful spa robes in the room.
Gregg was there to greet us and was so friendly and helpful on our first trip to the area.
If we are ever in Asheville again this is the only place we would consider staying.
