We wanted to get away for the weekend and the Asheville area offers many attractions. I looked on the bandbonline.com website and checked out many of the B&B's in the surrounding area. Abbington Green offered the best price for the level of accomodations. The hostess was very curtious and an excellent chef. Our room was very well mantained and clean. Her gardens were lovely and well ared for even in March. We had a wonderful time and plan on staying at Abbington Green on our next visit to Asheville.

At arrival, we were robotically told of the sites in town by our hostess, who was kind but dragging, and led to our room up a creeking (but impressively large) staircase. Fake plants everywhere, an odd combination of oriental and English decor, and dust greeted us on the way to our overpriced room. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast tasty although another guest requested no sugar and was upset to find even the milk was sweetened. We didn't fill our stomachs at the meal, and would have liked some cookies or snacks available to take the edge off. We had a great day in Asheville (loved hiking the botanical gardens), and came back to soak in the tub only to find the water was downright cool. We could barely stay 5 minutes in the tub, and had been looking forward to a leisurely and romantic soak. I suppose it keeps water usage down, but yuck!

This B & B is PERFECT, with the most knowledgeable and warmly professional Inn Keeper, Valerie. The beds are wonderful and the breakfasts DELICIOUS. Valerie is the chef too and delivers such scrumptious flavors in her creations as well as beautiful presentation. From the most inviting of decor, to the amazing History of this area and architecture of the homes, this was a delightful weekend. We WILL go back and you should book your time there now! You will not regret it. Take a look at this wonderful Inn at their website and pick from the gorgeous rooms Valerie has for you. We travel OFTEN and stay at the best of hotels, etc. and this was a TREAT!

We Have Stayed At The ABBINGTON Twice. We Looked Forward To The Second Stay And We Were Very Pleased. VALERIE Is Very Friendly And Makes You Feel As Though You Have Come Home To Visit. She Takes Extra Care In Preparing Bbreakfast And Our Bed And JACUZZI Tub Were EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE.
