“This restaurant needs to move up in the rankings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2011

Eat here the first night we were in town. Have not had better seafood in a hot lava pot ever. A few days later, we had the same lava pot with pork shoulder. Wow!!! Also had two different appetizers: gazpacho the first night; then sardines on specially prepared bread with topping. Both delicious. have been to Spain twice and can honestly say these dinners would surpass what we had there as tapas. I would highly recommend this place. I forgot to mention the wonderful outside patio and service.

“Great food, huge portions, but needs a new facility”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2011

At first we were turned off by the paper napkins and menus, tiny spaces and itty bitty, wobbly tables. The bathrooms are down a dark, twisty hallway and are pretty gross.

But the service is friendly and professional. And the food? Ohmigosh, the food!!! The meals are to die for. The plates are loaded high with tast, well-seasoned treats. I enjoyed the table-side prepared guac and blackened catfish.

If this restaurant could take its dynamite food and crisp service, maintain the central Asheville location, but upgrade to a higher end facility, this would be a 5 star experience all around.

“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2011

I'm a local and wanted to try something different. The food was excellente! Everything on the plate was delicious. We went for lunch and sat outside on a sunny day. I had the havana steak crepe at $10.00 and the portion was big. Go and eat!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2011

We found this place for a late lunch and were skeptical but so glad we gave it a chance.very small space but I loved the atmosphere, you can see the kitchen and we sat inside but it was a open area to the sidewalk.the menu changes often but we had chicken burritos and steak taquitos.portion was big and came with fresh made chips and guacamole and salsa which was so good.food was local and fresh and wonderful!only 20 bucks for two and it was worth it.service was great too.

“So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2011

Early girl was recommended but there was a 45 minute wait so we headed over toward Grave Arcade and stumbled upon Chorizo. We had a wonderful brunch. Between us we had the steak burrito(best she has ever had), two orders of scrambled eggs and cheese pancakes, chorizo scramble and lots and lots of coffee. We all loved our meals and our Jamaican(Negril) server was super.
