“Great Stay at The Residences”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Just wound up a great week long stay at The Residences. Having stayed in a variety of hotels in Asheville, this was one of our better stays. While the property is not walking distance to downtown, it is very conveneint to both downtown, the Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village. Unlike other reviews, we had no sound issues from other rooms at all, but we were on the top floor which could have removed that from being an issue. The rooms have natural wood floors, which could be the issue for people in lower floors hearing other noises as people walking on them in hard sshoes would be loud. The rooms were in great condition, well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were quite large and the Master Bath bathroom is huge. From a value standpoint, I don't think there is a better value in Asheville. For considerably less than some of the downtown 4 Star hotels, you get significantly larger rooms, a full kitchen, a fireplace, huge bathrooms and a peaceful area. Staff from start to finish were also terrific. The sole reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was that the wi-fi signal in the room was sporadic and not very strong. You were able to connect most of the time, but you lost signal numerous times. If they could boost the signal, it would be a 5 star rating. We're already booked to stay here again in the future.

Room Tip: Would recommend staying on top floors. Rooms facing Biltmore Avenue have very nice views.

Thanks for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor! It's great to hear about your stay with us. Your satisfaction and comfort is always our primary concern, so I'm sure the team will be thrilled to see this. We hope to welcome you back again!
On a side note, we just signed the contract for a new internet and television provider. Premium channels and high quality wi-fi. Hopefully this will be in place before your next visit.

Very good hotel. Rooms/bed were comfortable. Gym/Exercise room was good. The price of beer was high at the bar, but that is expected at hotels. There are good restaurants to visit around the hotel within walking distance.

The Residences at Biltmore was a great lodging choice. The location was great and the room itself had everything you need for a comfortable vacation. The only complaint I have is that the walls are very thin so you can hear everything above and around you as well as outside. The customers service was good and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay again although I'd definitely request a top floor.

The Residences at Biltmore is an absolutley wonderful place to stay. We stopped in Asheville, North Carolina on our way to Florida so that we could tour the Biltmore Estate and I found this hotel online. I can't say enough about how great our stay was. The rooms are actually like condo units, with a large living room area, beautiful kitchen, nice large master bedroom, and gorgeous bathroom with a soaker tub and large shower. It was just beautiful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The biggest surprise was when I opened a door, thinking that it would just be a hallway closet, and it ended up having a brand new washer and dryer in it! Not to mention, the area is just gorgeous. We walked around Biltmore Village (which is the cutest little village you'll ever see). What a beautiful area! If I didn't live so far away, I would definitely be going to that area for little long weekend getaways. The people who live in North Carolina are lucky that they live close to this area. Asheville is such a nice place and Biltmore Village is just so cute! To top it off, the people there are so nice! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Also, the Biltmore Estate is huge and gorgeous! I can't even explain it in words. If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend staying at The Residences at Biltmore and touring the Biltmore Estate. It was a really nice part of our trip and we really enjoyed it.

Room Tip: We had a room on the top floor (4th floor) and it was so nice to sit out on the balcony to have my m...

I went on spring break with a girlfriend and we stayed at this hotel and wow were we wowed. There was a great fireplace, and having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was a huge convenience for us. The kitchen was wonderful - bathrooms roomy with nice soaps etc. It was high quality and the front desk people were helpful. I would recommend.

We made very last minute reservations (day of travel) and had no trouble getting a one bedroom suite. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean, comfortable and spacious our suite was. Aside from a few spots on the carpet, everything was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and looked brand new. Large bathroom with the shiniest clean glass doors I've seen on a hotel shower. Bed was very comfortable. We were on the second floor so we heard footsteps above us occasionally but not really bothersome at all. Overall, it was a great place to stay...very convenient to downtown, the mountains, local attractions, restaurants, etc.

We just returned home from a three-night stay at this property. My wife and three kids enjoyed staying here because the kids were able to have their own room with TV/DVD and bathroom. It was nice not having to sleep in the same room with them after a few days on the road. The 2 bedroom was spacious enough (upgraded from a one-bedroom). The kitchen was adequate and the living space was nice. The decor and furniture were of good to high quality and the soaps and shampoos provided were of great quality. The front desk staff was very helpful, receptive, and thoughtful. It would have been nice to have a real lobby and bell service, but that is not what these residences are about. Parking was adequate. I would recommend that the front desk stock a sundries shop with water, juice, milk, and a few other groceries. We arrived late at night, and I would have paid a premium to have these items instead of driving to the grocery store the next morning to pick up things. The washer and dryer in the unit were very touch-and-go and temperamental. We had to run the washer twice and the dryer about 4 times for it to work properly. And, I recommend that this property invest in hotel-style drapes rather than relying on inexpensive blinds to shield out the morning sun. Despite this drawbacks, my wife, who is somewhat picky, told me she would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Asheville. The location, close to Biltmore Village and close to Downtown as well is a big plus. Housekeeping was excellent.
