“Great, cozy stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012 via mobile

We really enjoyed our short stay. After reading other reviews we requested a top floor room. When we arrived we had a top floor room as well as being on the end unit. The only adjoining wall we had with another unit was the bathroom, and we never had any noise problems. The room was homey and well stocked. The bathroom was beautiful and the TV was nice and large. The only complaint was that although the bed was comfy, it was the smallest "queen" bed I've ever seen.

At the entrance to The Biltmore is a "Gem" of a hotel! The clean, well managed property is desirable for families who desire to use the pool, kitchen, free parking, and a full breakfast for all, all at a very reasonable price.

If you have a large family, consider getting a two bedroom unit the will allow you to enjoy a living room, two baths and two private bedrooms. You will enjoy your room.

There is enjoyable dining nearby, and remember with a dining room table, refrigerator, stove, microwave, in every room, you can bring carry-out back to your room!

Room Tip: Book early, and don't forget the AAA, 62+, and Gov't rates may save you money!

Beautifully appointed... luxurious place to put one's feet up! Gas fireplace is a nice touch! Full kitchens, whirlpool tub, awesome shower. Close to the hospital for staying close to a sick relative.

Nice to be able to eat in and feel (almost) like being at home.

My only complaint is it is a no smoking property, which is not mentioned on the website (unless I missed it)... with balconies and lots of wonderful outdoor space, one would think they could manage to find a happy medium to accommodate everyone.

Close to the Village, close to downtown. Great location. I would stay again.

Room Tip: Sort of loud with doors slamming and people talking. This is a former apt complex. I think the hig...

We booked with another couple for two nights. Stayed in 412. Unit was very nice and immaculate with a king in one bedroom and queen in the other. Perfect for our needs.
Had a bit of a problem regulating the thermostat, but decided to shut everything off and just run the fan.
When we went to check out, there seemed to be an issue with their reservation system. We had hoped to spend a few minutes in the room before going to the candlelight tour. The delay in figuring out how to split the bill put us back in the car to the Biltmore.
Overall, though, it was a very nice stay and I highly recommend The Residences during a stay in the Asheville area.

We stayed at The Residences at Biltmore in October and really enjoyed our time there. The room was sparkling clean with lovely touches like the towel swan. We loved the location near the Biltmore House and a beautiful residential area.

The Residences at Biltmore may not be your average brand name hotel. Here are a few likes and dislikes. Likes 1. Amazing location. Close to everything in Asheville (Nice restaurants, Biltmore Estate, Downtown, Blue Ridge Parkway Ramp, Breweries, Attractions, and more) 2. Beds were comfy and space was adequate. Bath had a nice oversized shower! Double sink vanity too. This made it comfy to get ready in the mornings and right before dinner. 3. Studio apartments seem to have an electric fireplace while the one bedrooms have gas fireplaces. Check when you reserve your room. 4. Fire pit is located next to the pool/hot jacuzzi area. We brought our family around the firepit right before / after dinner to enjoy the warmth. We did not use the hot jacuzzi since it was really cold outside. 5. Check-in girl was really nice and gave us a lot of info on the area and what to do. As far as restaurants are concerned, we really enjoyed a few in the area and I highly recommend them (Corner Kitchen, Early Girl Eatery were our two favorites. For late night Spanish tapas and ambience, go to Curate. I also heard a few others were good. Here they are: Tupelo Honey, Market Place, 12 Bones, ZaMbra, Rezaz, Red Stag Grill, Admiral. Dislikes were very few but here's one; Front desk didnt offer any help with our luggage and I didnt see any luggage carts at our building upon check in. I wheeled all my pieces by myself which I wasnt too happy about since I was carrying a lot of stuff (car load!). I do believe that they have luggage carts because I saw one at checkout so just ask for it if you need it. Like other reviews on here - dont judge this place from the lobby / check in reviews. This place is a great location for your stay. Oh and I forgot to mention - the apartments were extremely clean, beautiful, and clean. Parking is great and close to your apartment. I saw another review about the fact that there's "nothing to do on-site as far as restaurants/bars." While this is true, I would highly recommend that YOU GET OUT OF THE HOTEL PERIOD! You are on vacation, explore the area and enjoy! By the way, Asheville is home to some great restaurants.

First of all, I just wanted to thank you for taking time out of your day to give us feedback. We really appreciate how thorough you were with this review! Thanks for pointing out all the specific details that you loved about our hotel, like our comfortable beds and friendly concierge. We work hard to create the most welcoming environment possible for our guests, so we love hearing about this positive experience.

However, I’m sorry you had to carry your own bags to your room. That’s definitely something that we should have taken care of. Next time, please ask for assistance — we’d be more than happy to help you! We take pride in everything our hotel has to offer and cannot thank you enough for sharing your thoughts. I hope to see you back here during the holidays!

Warm regards,

Shane Bounds, General Manager

We wanted a place where 8 of us could gather for Thanksgiving week that would feel like home and be centrally located. Our 2 bedroom apartment was just this! It had 3 TVs for watching those football games, plenty of parking, a gas fireplace, balcony, full kitchen and large refrigerator. Besides it was 1/4 mile to the entrance to Biltmore!
We were well treated but be warned, they were doing some renovation causing a noise issue which was corrected in a timely manner by the manager.
It was a bit pricey for Thanksgiving but generally has good rates.
Also, they take dogs for an extra fee and there is a city woodsy park across the street for walks.
It would also be good for those doing long term business in town.

Room Tip: All the rooms are accessible via elevator and easy for unloading.
