I stayed there for several months Spring 2012. The front desk staff was great. The breakfast was very good with numerous choices. Gym was nice and well-equipped. It is very close to downtown Asheville. I generally prefer to stay at Homewood Suites for my business travels because it is almost like being in a small apartment. My main problem here was housekeeping. I had my room cleaned twice a week and would leave a sizeable tip each time. I returned early one day to see the tip removed but the room not cleaned. The housekeeper later came and she nonchalantly did a quick clean of my room. In another instance, my dirty kitchen towel(stained from spilled soup) was re-folded and left as if it was clean and washed. I called to complain about this and received no response from the head of housekeeping though she would leave messages for me that housekeeping had to clean my room every few days according to State rules when I did not allow access. I still plan to stay at Homewood Suites chain just not this one in the future.

I have stayed at the Homewood Suites in Asheville for both business and pleasure. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They serve a great breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening. It’s great to have a bedroom that closes off from the kitchenette and living room. I would highly recommend staying here for a short or long stay.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel. We found it clean, the staff helpful and location was great for visiting the Biltmore house, shopping, dining out and was only 35 minutes from the local ski slopes. They do not have roll a way beds at this location, which was a little bit of a snag for our visit, because we felt like the pull out sofa bed was a little too small for a 12 year old and a 7 year old to share. So, just keep that in mind when booking for a family. Breakfast was a little bit of a circus, b/c the hotel was booked up. I would recommend going earlier, rather than later. All in all, great value, kind staff, great location.

We choose this hotel for its convenience to downtown... there's a tunnel road to the business district that allows you to avoid the highway. Since this hotel allows guest to have pets, we suffered mild allergies during this stay from previous visitors... suggest requesting a room that has had no pets, if you are sensitive. The buffet breakfast was average, with tasteless, lukewarm foods. Though the suites offers mini-kitchens so you have the option of preparing your own dining choices.
