“Great Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

Our experience at the Crooked Oak Inn was wonderful. The accommodations were warm and cozy. Bear and Patti were the perfect hosts who truly make you feel at home. Conveniently located to Downtown and Tunnel Road the Inn offers the perfect location, the drive to and from the Inn offers the most scenic views during the day as well as night. My wife and I are already our return. Romantic !!

Room Tip: Chestnut Suite. Large comfortable bed, great deck, plenty of room to relax

We've stayed here many times and it feels more like visiting great friends (who can cook!) vs. staying at a commericial place. It was no surprise that we chose the Inn for our first anniversary. As always, Bear and Patti made sure our stay was wonderful. From the yummy breakfasts, to helping us with reservations, or just relaxing with a glass of wine, you just can't ask for anything better. Can't wait for our next visit!

Room Tip: I almost hate to recommend our favorite, but the Chestnut Suite is excellent when your husband is 6...

Do you know what it feels like to find a place where you can instantly relax, put your favorite slippers on and sit in a comfortable chair by the fire? Well, the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn is exactly like that. It is cozy, warm, friendly and beautiful! Bear and Patti will greet and welcome you as they show you around their lovely stone and wood bed and breakfast and to your guest room with no detail left out! In the afternoon, you are offered complimentary beverages and snacks and there are lots of nooks and crannies to hang out in and read, watch tv or a movie or just relax as well as opportunities to socialize with other guests if you wish. So treat yourself - it's a real "coming home" experience!

Room Tip: Every suite or guest room is lovely and beautifully appointed. The two suites are the largest rooms...

Bear and Patti do an awesome job making sure you have all the comforts of home. Well except I don't have a gourmet breakfast served to me daily at home. They are friendly helpful and truly devoted to their jobs. Very husband friendly as well as a great place for a girls getaway!

We decided to get away for the weekend before going back to work after the hoilidays. We searched on the internet, but couldn't find anything we liked. We finally decided to look on the Chamber of Commerce website and found the perfect place. Nestled in the mountains was this beautiful bed and breakfast. Bear and Patti were wonderful, and the food was delicious.
We have definitely found our place to get away.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to head to Asheville. We were recommended by friends to stay at the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn. From the time we arrived and met Bear, we felt very welcome. The Inn is beautiful and very well-kept. Patti and Bear are extremely hospitable and GREAT chefs! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will definitely stay there again in the future. Highly recommended!

We've stayed at the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn at least ten times over the past several years. It is our favorite inn, anywhere! Innkeepers, Patti and Bear, are warm, charming, and hospitable, breakfasts are gourmet and hearty, and the inn is located in a beautiful, restful mountain setting, yet is only a ten minute drive from downtown Asheville. We highly recommend it!
