“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Concept is great but we found the toppings to be overwhelmed by the crust flavor. And honestly, I prefer a crust that doesn't sag when you pick up a slice of pizza and toppings start to drip or slide off. Must be eaten with a fork. We also had the roasted beets. Beets were in all different sizes so some were properly cooked and some weren't. Flavor was good but it needed salt. We expected more and given all the options in Asheville, I doubt we would return.

“Solid pizza”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

We ate here for the first time on Friday night. Thankfully we didn't have to wait long to sit as we came with 2 kids. The restaurant was filled and we had to park across the street. The restaurant had a nice vibe as you walked in. Service was prompt and we ordered 3 pizzas and a couple of starters. The house made mozzarella was quite good. The hush puppies were not a table favorite and were raw on the inside. The pizza was good but a bit soggy in the middle. Maybe because it was so busy the pizzas were rushed out? or maybe there was too much sauce? Not sure but it wasn't our favorite. We will be willing to try again another time when it isn't so busy to see if there is a difference. It was really neat watching them make the pies and see how the oven works.

“Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Being in the River Arts District, I had my concerns about what we'd find. The restaurant was very clean, the wait staff friendly, and the pizza awesome. We loved the crust, and would say it's our favorite yet (and we eat a lot of pizza). We had a salad with beets on it, and the apple, lamb, and Gorgonzola pizza. We really enjoyed the farm to table aspect of this restaurant. We also liked that local beers they had on tap. Overall a great evening!

“Unique Pizza and More”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

The owner is a baker and the dough used for the crust is unique...thin crust but not double zero flour; but still very good. The toppings are all fresh; but could use some more thinking as they were good; but not great. The choices other then pizza had a wholesome Mediterranean theme/seasoning and were kinda of tapas size. A pizza and two sides will serve two nicely as will two pizzas. Local beer on draft and wines while varied were average. Overall, a great start to a very good pizza in a somewhat upscale pizza joint located in the River Arts District

“All Souls is the place for pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Formerly on the spot of The Asheville Public, All souls pizza has its parking lot full almost every evening. You have your choice of a polenta wheat, or sour dough crust for your pizza, We first chose two pizzas with polenta crust to share among four people. It was interesting, but not a winner in our estimate. So then we ordered a veggie pizza with a wheat crust, and it was wonderful.

It's not only pizza that they serve, you can have a dish of polenta, or you can have a calzone. We chose a kale Caesar salad to go with our meal, and it was superb. There is also a full service bar, with numerous brands of local beers.
