“Dynamite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

My boyfriend and I are vegetarians, so this place was right up our alley. Not only is it extremely gay friendly (like much of Asheville), but the prices were great. I'm a picky eater--really--and I couldn't find much fault with this place. I can't wait to go there again. The veggie sausage was fantastic.

“Quaint decor but average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Tried to get in for brunch but couldn't wait (long lines) so we returned later for lunch instead. Even at 2:30 pm we had to wait 20 minutes or so. Service was so so .... waiter got one of the burger orders wrong, tried to fix it but still ended up with the wrong bun and spilled tea on the table. 6 people - all ordered burgers of some sort. They do have a great variety of burgers. Having said that, it was just an average burger with average fries. As I said in my title -- it is a very quaint place. Not as good as I expected with all the people waiting for as long as they were. I would try again if there is no wait. Not worth the wait.

Had a wonderful late lunch at Mayfel's. Great location across from a little park. You can sit outside for interesting people watching.

“Interesting Burgers..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

We stopped at the restaurant after not being able to get into another close by. Glad we waited for the 20mins during lunch to be seated. The place was a reasonably priced American cuisine type burger joint. The Service was decent, although to be fair they were pretty busy.. Nice little stop in for a black bean burger and sweet potato fries. Would recommend for sure :)

“Lovely, lively, fun downtown restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

Lovely downtown Ashville restaurant. Noisy, lively, loud, crowded fun. Friendly service and families with kids. Indoor or outdoor eating. Went for dinner. Fine choice of local beer. Had the smoked trout dip which was delicious. If you like NY style smoked whitefish salad you'll love this. Had the pasta with spicy sausage, okra and chicken in cream sauce. A delicious indulgence. My wife had cabbage stuffed with New Orleans boudin. A bit bland but excellent with a little seasoning she added. Copious portions. Worth the visit. Watch the action in the park across the street: musicians, tourists, locals, the street scene-wonderful.
