“heavy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

This food sticks to your ribs,,,it is heavy so if youare looking for a light fare this is not the place. parking on the Lexington side and going up the back stairs is your best bet as parking is no where to be found in the front

“sangers are good, but bakery items out of this world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2014 via mobile

We enjoyed the sandwiches upstairs at Loretta's, but the real star is the bakery downstairs. I had to stop there every day during my stay in Asheville to pick up a cookie or two. Highlights are the giant chocolate "Boules" and the ginger cookies.

“Only in Asheville”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

It was the best. Many choices and my reuben had an Asheville lift that set it apart. Talked with Daniel who is a real player in the Paris of the South. Enjoyed it all and will be back soon.

“Weekly lunch spot. Possibly best soups in town?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

Well deserved 5 rating. Affordable quick lunch with great sandwiches and better soups. The half sandwich / soup combo for under $7 is one if he better deals downtown for lunch. Chicken, tuna, and egg salad are hands down the best sandwiches on the menu...and if you want ultimate bliss make the first two a melt. The soups change everyday and are usually great...especially the clam chowder. The field pea and vegetable are also score well above average. Do to forget the lemon bar or another fresh baked sweet to round out the meal. Seriously, this place rocks.
