“Fabulous & Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Five of us had dinner and ordered different tapas. Everything was excellent. The spring rolls were the all time favorite. Our only glitch was that we never received one of the tapas we ordered. Fabulous atmosphere, love the decor!

“Great Tapas!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

Bartender at Five Walnut Street Wine Bar recommended this place as one of the most romantic in Asheville with great food to boot. She was spot on. This place is intimate and the food is great. Wonderful wine, bourbon, rye and scotch menu. Highly recommended.

“Awesome atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

We dined here for our anniversary in late Feb as we saw that it was one of the most romantic restraunts in America. We enjoyed it very much...the catfish sliders they had the night we went were fantastic. We also tried a duck breast and a few other dishes. As others have noted service can be a tad slow but that comes with the food being made on the spot...and they do warn you. So if you are looking to try some eclectic food and have a few hours to enjoy the company of your party then definitely give this place a try!

“Wow! What Flavors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

The flavor combinations are intriguing, unique and really work! Four of us ordered a wide variety from the regular menu and the specials menu and were not disappointed by any. Mussels, octopus, duck were just some of our choices and each had a unique flavor. Nice wine list and very yummy sangria of the day. Helpful and friendly wait staff and a nice space make this place a gem.

“Who expected such a fantastic tapas bar?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Never expected to find this gem in Asheville. It was small, full and very busy. We ended up eating at the bar as we had no reservations and probably got the last 2 seats! The tapas menu is extensive and very original. We tried about 8 different dishes between the two of us. Very unique combinations of ingredients and flavours and gorgeous presentation. Make a reservation and plan on spending a fair amount of time there. You'll need it to sample everything!. The bartender who took care of us was quite busy and not as attentive as I'd like. She was also not very friendly. People tended to linger there and wait for the live music so the turnover of tables is slow.
It's a great place to people watch. With the university there, there are a lot of hipsters walking about. It's like Brooklyn in North Carolina.
