“Great vegetarian options”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We're not vegetarians, just don't eat meat much -- so some of the meat alternatives like seitan and tico were not familiar to us, There were a lot of options where these, tofu or tempeh were substituted for meat (as in burgers, Reubens and other sandwiches). I chose a "small" harmony bowl: black beans, brown rice, some beautifully grilled tofu, and wonderful steamed fresh veggies with a great sesame ginger sauce. My husband enjoyed his east-west quesadilla and salad with Asian fusion dressing. We thought that portions were very generous. It was a really attractive space -- clean, spacious, & just the right amount of light. We were in the front area near the beautiful bar --and there was a busier area to the rear that some might prefer. They also had a great selection of cocktails, as well as beer, wine, saki and mead. Service was excellent -- everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend to to anyone looking for some new and unique options. No live music but our final surprise was that it connected to Jack of the Wood -- a great place for live music.

“Great vegetarian restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Wide variety of items at this vegetarian restaurant. They offer filtered water, and non-gmo soy. Prices are kind of high, but its a local rrstaurant.

“Vegetarian / Vegan that even a carnivore can love”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

The menu features items that are carefully selected, much of it scratch-made, and locally sourced. Attention to detail shines here. Portions are very generous. Try the tempeh patty rueben, wow. Home made hummus was very tasty.

I can recommend the food here to other meat eaters, as my palate was well satisfied.

Service was very pleasant and timely. The atmosphere is really interesting, with a variety of different spaces to sit in. Each has its own nice vibe.

“Reuben Yummo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

One of my favorite sandwiches that I miss since changing to a meat free way of life is the Reuben. There have been some imitations I've tried, but usually the consistency is wrong, being too slimy and wet. Laughing Seed got it right. Wife had the Low Country Rollups, which I enjoyed their take on BBQ tofu. Friends both got the Cuban, which looked really good. We ordered the Pakoras and Miyabizushi for appetizers. Nothing fabulous there, found the pakoras too bready. They use cabbage for filling and it isn't bulky enough to stand up against the batter. Would defintely dine here again.
