Description: What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!

“Good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

I got a burger here and it was big and tasty. The pricing was not too bad for the amount off food. The restaurant decoration was pretty cool and our serve was nice.

“Good Recommendation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We were recommended this place by a few people and the food was delicious. The fried green tomatoes and Southern Stroganoff were memorable enough for me to write this review! Good place

“Still Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We were in Asheville this past weekend and made our second trip to Tupelo Honey Cafe -- this time for breakfast. If you are looking for a great meal in Asheville - don't miss Tupelo. Tupelo is always worth the wait. Our food was served quickly once we were seated. The biscuits are out of this world and can't go wrong with any of the breakfast items. We even went back for a second breakfast at Tupelo. If you are traveling to Asheville, DO NOT miss this place!!

There is almost always a bit of a wait, but don't let the line scare you away -- get a pager from the host and you are free to roam the block and shop at the stores and galleries around. They will typically tell you, but the pager works within the block and many great shops to pass the time while you wait for your seat.

“Get the sweet potato pancake!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

We have eaten here numerous times when we are visiting Asheville. The food is to die for. Hands down, the sweet potato pancake (add the granola) is one of the best things I have ever eaten. You won't need syrup because the peach butter is divine! We have also had the meatloaf, shrimp and grits, the omelet, black bean burger. All of it is wonderful. Nice atmosphere, busy, good service. Reservations are NOT accepted. Be prepared to wait.....it's worth it!

“Worth the wait”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

There was a line but they had great bloody marys that we drank outside in the partition while waiting. Food was amazing and local. Coffee was a great pick me up.
