“Excellent new Bakery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013 via mobile

This venue is fast becoming more than a neighborhood gathering place. It is cozy, yet modern and upscale. The staff members are helpful, energetic and seem to want to help customers in any way.
The food is prepared by the main chef/owner who is very credentialed. All baked items are home made from scratch. VERY tasty.we will be going again.

“Does bread the best, limited seating”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

I've been to Dough twice. Both times, I noted that some of the premade food in the fridge (case) had old dates on it. I purchased bread both times, and it was excellent.

It has very limited seating, which is disappointing, although the room it uses for cooking classes is probably the reason it lacks more tables and chairs.

Yesterday, I purchased bread, macaroni and cheese, and coffee. Again, I noted some of the premade food items had old dates on them. For example, yesterday was March 28th, yet the macaroni and cheese in the front of the case was dated March 25th. Therefore, I picked a container from the back of the case with a later date.

The macaroni and cheese was priced right at $3.99. I baked it in the oven, per the instructions on the package. It might've been fresh and homemade (assuming it was), but it was simply bland. The coffee was excellent.

The primary reason I will visit Dough in the future will most likely be for fresh bread. It has a limited selection of what I deem slightly overpriced goodies. Go downtown to Karen Donatelli's, and you will pay about the same prices for far superior sweets. Dough isn't ideal for business meetings due to lack of seating and/or potentially sharing one of its large tables with strangers whilst conducting business.

“Nothing but yum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

We had the Italian sausage calzone, minestrone soup and a slice of monkey bread for lunch. They had samples of the monkey bread out and it was so good we couldn't resist buying a piece. It is a delicious cinnamon-y yeast bread that was fresh and not overly sweet. The calzone was $7.95 and enough for 2 people. The filling was a yummy mix of tomato sauce and really good, slightly spicy sausage. And the dough was very good. The soup was also delicious and well worth the $3.95 price. And the picky coffee connoisseur was pleased with his cup of coffee. On the way out we tried a sample of the coconut chiffon cake which was incredible. This will now be a regular stop on our neighborhood dining trips. You order at a counter and find a seat if you are eating in. If you order something that needs to be cooked, like the calzone, you will wait a few minutes. If that is a problem there are plenty of other options on the menu. Personally, I prefer to wait for something to be freshly made than have something pre-made that is just reheated. So, waiting is not a problem for me.

“There's a party in my tummy, YEAHHHHHHHHH, yummy yummy ( repeat)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

great place, great food, good service...at least when I was there!

My order took a little longer than I'd expect, but that's usually the case when something is FRESHLY prepared!!!

I so sick of the same 'ole same 'old....so this was like a breath of FRESH AIR! And II am not too keen on new trying new places... I usually only go AFTER reading alot of ++++ REVIEWS ( like here on TRIP ADVISOR - YEAH!) but I was glad I went out on a limb...

only to be richly rewarded with a great new alternative for a "bite to eat"

almost forgot, loved the eclectic beer selection as well!

Will certainly be back again!
