Stopped in at Wicked Weed on our last night in Asheville (Fri, Dec. 6). We dined at a community table near the bar and although the brew pub was bustling with business, our server was very friendly and attentive. There is an extremely wide selection of craft beers on the chalkboard and we were not shy about trying a variety of beers such as the Freak of Nature DIPA, the Heresy, and Ryan the Pounder. No complaints regarding the beer menu. For dinner my husband ordered the seared tuna appetizer with white beans, kale and tomatoes and it was delicious. I am a sucker for fish and chips, and there is an appetizer portion of this dish on the menu with shaved brussels sprouts slaw. It was good, but not as good as the tuna. We also would have enjoyed more of the Brussels sprouts slaw. We sat next to a nice young couple from Georgia who had just arrived for a weekend visit. The community table invites conversations with others, it's a good time. There is also a large patio available for dining with fire pits that was being utilized on the crisp December evening.
