After reading reviews of this gallery, we were so glad that we found it !! It is a wonderful place to spend a leisurely afternoon. The automobile museum, the homespun museum and the gallery were first class !

“More than 1 Museum All FREE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Ignore the very pricy hotel in front and drive around to the back of the property. The first thing is the Café, I can't review that because we didn't go.
As you walk up the hill you see all kinds of sculptures, wind chimes and wind mills. This brings you to the next building which is an Art Gallery/Museum/Store. Not sure what to call it but it was great. All items are American made and even if you can't afford to buy them they were great to look at. Don't forget the second floor.
Beside this building is an old factory and at the end is the NC Homespun Museum. This place is small but you want to see it. It is a historical overview of the Biltmore Industries. They were sold and the entire operation moved to this location. Many photos, cloth, clothing, and tool samples to see.
The last building and my favorite was the Antique Car Museum. There are many old cars in very good condition in this building. Take your time and look them over. The lady there was very nice and allowed us to take pictures even moving the little signs over for a better shot. There are some amazing cars here. If you are even a little interested in old cars you need to go here. They also have some older fire equipment and a fire truck. There are carriages and some of the old material carts they used in the factory. Surprisingly, and I missed it going in, there is also a moonshine still up front. I saw it as I was leaving.
Although these are free, in the car museum there is a place to make donations if you would like to.

“It's free so stop by if you're in the area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

My main reason for going was the outdoor sculptures - less than I expected, but still fun to look at. My husband enjoyed all the antique cars that had been restored to shine. And there is a large store/gallery of expensive, but interesting art and furniture. It took us at least an hour to look at everything.
