“Nice Romantic Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We stayed at the Inn for a little weekend getaway. I got the romantic weekend package which included valet parking, meals, admission to the estate, and of course the room. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom nice. They maid visits the room twice/day which is nice to have the toiletries refilled and towels replaced. The only thing I would want in the room was a little fridge. On the first night we had dinner at the Inn which was very good (I had the bison) but had a set list of things to choose from. I would never had paid that much normally but it was included in the package. The second night we ate at the Bistro. The food was the same caliber as the Inn but you got to choose anything and off the menu you wanted. The service at the hotel was good in general. It's also nice to be located right on the estate because Antler Hill village is so close and you can walk right down. Again, normally I wouldn't pay this much for a hotel and meals but it was a special occasion so I was willing to splurge and you can't beat the location.

A friend and I spent three nights at the Inn during the third week of April. We had a deluxe room with the Bed and Breakfast Package which included buffet each morning but you do have the option to order from the menu and admission during the length of your stay. I think the staff were the most friendly I have ever experienced in a hotel. Everyone smiled, called you by name, and always offering to help. Did not have one negative experience at the Inn. The room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was spacious. We were in room 612 which faced Antler Village and you could see the mansion in the distance. Nice gift shop with the Biltmore wines available to purchase at the hotel as opposed to the winery. Pool was not open yet but was quite large and had wonderful views of the mountains. We never used our car once we arrived, took advantage of the shuttle service to the mansion and Antler Village. Ask someone to explain the shuttle service once you arrive. Had afternoon tea which we both enjoyed, enough food for us to replace lunch. You can arrange tours, make reservations for meals, spa, etc at the hotel as well. We chose to wait until we arrived but if you are visiting during a high volume time, you may want to do that in advance. Reservations for dinner are recommended. Enjoyed the property tour and using the audio guide at the mansion. It is quite a hike from the Bass Pond back to the Conservatory so be prepared. No pictures inside the mansion. I think we could have covered everything in two days but three was nice so we did not feel rushed to cram it all in. Would absolutely stay at the Inn if I ever return.

We arrived here on a crisp cool day. With the fresh mountain air, the beautiful landscaping as well as the marvelous hotel we felt like we were back in Europe again. All of the hotel staff were wonderful and extremely helpful and friendly. The fireplace was lit and generated a mountain resort feel to the hotel. We stayed in one of the 3 balcony rooms with a premium view. Loved each morning waking up looking out at the mountains and watching the farm animals down at the farm at Antler Village get up. It was always so peaceful there. The food and service at all the restaurants at the hotel was wonderful. We tried the Bistro down at Antler Village one evening and it was nice but menu different.

We came to see the Mansion and the spring flowers which they are known for. The Mansion was huge and very nice and built in French Chateau style as we had visited in the Loire Valley in France. We were however disappointed in the flowers in the gardens as they were almost non-existent. It had been a hard late winter for North Carolina and they were late blooming this year.

Overall the four night stay at the Inn was just wonderful and we hope to come back again.

Room Tip: The premium view rooms are on the mountain side and one must call to ask for one.

My husband and I just returned from a lovely weekend at this beautiful property. The Inn itself has enough to offer that even without the proximity of the Estate and gardens (accessed by way of a convenient shuttle allowing you to blissfully abandon your car for your entire stay) it would be a place worthy of a visit. The property is beautiful, the rooms are lovely and the staff goes out of its way to accommodate. The main dining room offers a wonderful breakfast buffet which was included in our package. We also ate dinner there and the food and service were both excellent. We also really enjoyed having drinks on the terrace bar on the main level of the hotel each afternoon.
All in all I would highly recommend a visit to Inn on Biltmore Estate!

We have wanted to stay at The Inn on Biltmore Estate ever since we last visited the Biltmore a few years ago. We drove up at Asheville for a 3 day weekend in early November 2012, the weekend the Biltmore house opened the holiday exhibits. Once on the Biltmore property, it's about a 5 minute drive to the Inn through beautiful scenery. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a pleasant staff and checked in. The Inn is gorgeous! A fire was roaring in the lobby and a pianist was on the baby grand. We took our suitcases to our room and quickly went to explore the grounds. Everything was immaculate with beautiful views of the mountains. We walked down to the village and had a great dinner then took the shuttle back to the Inn. The shuttle runs frequently from the Inn to the village and to the Biltmore house during the day.

We got the breakfast package which included breakfast every morning at the Inn, admission to the Biltmore house every day and a souvenir book. The breakfast in the restaurant downstairs at the Inn was amazing! We decided on the buffet all three mornings and were delighted with fresh waffles and fresh orange juice!

The whole feel of the Inn is peaceful. There's an area that you can sit and look out at the mountains. The village near the Inn offers several restaurants, shops and a bakery/ice cream parlor. Sunday afternoon we rented bikes and rode on several trails. The village has day visitors during the day but at night was basically just the guests at the Inn.

We will be going back The Inn on Biltmore Estate as soon as we can take some time off from work!

The Biltmore is an exceptional hotel, it is very smart but utterly unpretentious. The hotel is (obviously) well presented with extremely polite staff but the real joy is the fine dining.

The fine dining restaurant is clearly blessed with some incredibly talented chefs who are able to offer delicious but adventurous concoctions and are fully supported by a first rate front of house team. We had an amazing meal at the hotel, one of the best we've ever had (including Michelin star restaurants).

The Inn on the Biltmore Estate was built in a style a bit reminiscent of the Biltmore Estate itself.

A large hotel with many rooms, yet it is very well managed. The hotel is situated at a bit of elevation and trails lead down to ample open areas for hiking and exploring, and visiting nature. Our room was modern, well appointed and had a view toward a stand of trees, dusted with snow in the mornings in a rather crisp late March.

The fitness center is not extensive, but adequate.

The dining room is really nice, We had two very fine dinners, at reasonable prices for the effort and quality of the cuisine. What might seem a bit high becomes reasonable when the helpful service and high quality cuisine is factored in. Our Buffet Breakfasts were extensive and ample. The breakfast service is also top notch, and if you want something not displayed on the Buffet (peanut butter, natural yogurt, wheat toast etc) they happily bring it to you.

There were group meetings when we were there, but they did not inhibit our holiday in any way.
