Description: The Junction is the first full service restaurant in Asheville's River Arts District. We feature Southern-inspired farm to table fare and seasonal craft cocktails with fresh ingredients. We brine our fried chicken, smoke our pears, handcraft our soups and visit tailgate markets weekly. We make our own bacon and ketchup, squeeze cases of citrus each week for cocktails and work with other local, small businesses whenever possible. We invite you to join us after work for a casual beer and a burger at the bar, or to bring your beloved or whole family for a unique dining experience. Our menu features a combination of soups, salads and sharing plates as well as hearty entree options so that every dining experience is unique. Please visit our website to preview menus, as they change weekly.

“Great Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

Went here Sunday morning with Asheville friends. Great brunch menu in an eclectic setting. Dad and his adorable 10 year old daughter ran the front of this restaurant. So much fun. Such good food. So want to go back. This place is a must experience restaurant. Looking forward to returning next month to Asheville and definitely will revisit The Junction.

“Great, great, and even more great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

What a pleasant surprise! First time to Asheville and this was our first stop. Simply outstanding. Great cocktails, inventive fresh, new southern cooking, excellent limited desserts. So good we are delaying our departure for Charleston to go back for brunch tomorrow. Extremely friendly staff.

“Fun, Friends and Family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

From the moment you enter the door at The Junction, you are greeted and treated as a valued friend. This urban styled restaurant is just the place for a fun filled evening ( or Brunch ) of pleasant surprises!
The food is thoughtfully prepared by a progressive staff, who artfully present very skilled compositions much in the way an artist composes a painting...but they taste better! If you are a true Foodie, you must give this small, inviting restaurant a try. It's of the beaten path in the River Arts District...use GPS...its worth the effort.

Charles and Staff work like finely tuned instruments with everything going smoothly and seamlessly. The wine dinner earlier this month, featuring the curated wines of Kermit Lynch, was phenomenal! Thank you Courtney and Chad.

I cannot write this without mentioning Ella, Charles daughter, who we have admired and served us at several Brunches. At 8, she is the consummate professional, going about her duties as though she was the maitre d of a Michelin starred venue. Bravo Ella...and Charles, of course!

“American fare with a distinctive flare”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

The Junction is a small eclectic restaurant in the developing river arts district of Asheville. The food is American but the use of unusual granishes to add flair to the dishes made everything we ordered special. For example the burger was topped with wild boar barbecue and pickled jalapenos, while the pork chop was served on a bed of cranberry-cinnamon chili and were delicious! The portions were correct and left four people splitting two great desserts. The Key Lime pie was as good as I remember getting in Miami as a kid. The wine list was smallish but adequate while the service was very friendly but always professional. We will return here again.

“Never Disappoints”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

We have been to The Junction several times, most recently two nights ago. We've been there as a couple, a party of four, and Tuesday night as a party of eight. We've been there for lunch, brunch, and dinner. The food is always good, consistent, and the service attentive in every respect. The staff does a good job of making you feel at home.

The menu changes often based on what they can get locally. Standbys are the fried chicken and the burger. Even the fried chicken changes periodically, but it is always on the menu in some form. In fact, during one of our visits as a party of four, one of the other couple is a woman who grew up in the south (Charlotte area). She said the fried chicken was better than what her mom used to make!

Our only problem in our most recent visit is we did not save room for dessert.

We have never walked away from the Junction disappointed. It is the restaurant that a lot of other places in the area should strive to emulate.

Oh, and the bar, while small, is very good. Decent wine selections, usually a unique group of mixed drinks, and several great beers. If they still have it available when you go, try the Cocoa Mole, which is dessert in a glass repackaged as beer!
