Description: The Junction is the first full service restaurant in Asheville's River Arts District. We feature Southern-inspired farm to table fare and seasonal craft cocktails with fresh ingredients. We brine our fried chicken, smoke our pears, handcraft our soups and visit tailgate markets weekly. We make our own bacon and ketchup, squeeze cases of citrus each week for cocktails and work with other local, small businesses whenever possible. We invite you to join us after work for a casual beer and a burger at the bar, or to bring your beloved or whole family for a unique dining experience. Our menu features a combination of soups, salads and sharing plates as well as hearty entree options so that every dining experience is unique. Please visit our website to preview menus, as they change weekly.

“Innovative, local, and delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

This place won't break your budget, but it will raise the bar on your dining out expectations. Loved the atmosphere, the service, not to mention the sensitively prepared, excellently fresh, good food.

“Save Your Money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Nice people, but mediocre food, small portions and way overpriced. There are lots of great places to eat in Asheville. This isn't one of them.

“Outstanding River Arts District!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

The Junction now ranks in my top handful of restaurants in Asheville. Our second meal confirmed what our first had already indicated -- the food, service, cocktails, and decor are first rate, perfectly coordinated, and consistently excellent. Their versions of southern fried chicken in a sweet tea brine as well as the ribs, both served with a delicious corn souffle (not exactly but close), were the hits of the table though the kids thought the burger was "dynamite." Try one of their creative cocktails to start and do not miss dessert -- the key lime pie was probably the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot!

“Cool vibe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

this west end restaurant has a youthful exuberance as you enter and the hip looking staff may be a little off putting to people of a certain age. But, they are all friendly and efficient- there when needed but unobtrusive. Interesting cocktails and a well edited wine list. The menu is also limited-good in my opinion- but is creative in what has come to typify the Asheville restaurant scene.

“A serendipitous find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

We stumbled upon this place after pulling off the highway into Asheville right in the middle of their Bele Chere street festival. We got to the restaurant early so there was no wait. We had excellent, fresh food simply but beautifully prepared. The ingredients were basic (e.g. mushrooms, beets, parsnips, goat cheese, onions, etc.), but prepared in a way I would never consider doing at home. We cook almost all of our meals and try to only use local produce, so we are pretty picky when we eat out, and this place impressed. My husband and son said the hamburger was excellent, My daughter enjoyed the sweet tea-brined fried chicken with succotash (well they didn't call it succotash, but that's what it was and very tasty at that). The desserts were also divine--we had all three (key lime pie, Mexican fudge cake, and NY Cheesecake).
