“Great hotel for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

We were here on a business trip and stayed at the Baymont because the reviews said the location was great. We are very pleasently surprised. The breakfast included has everything you can ask for. Sometimes crowded but just a short wait until a table opens up. The location is great - within walking distance, a few blocks, to the Biltmore village for shopping and very good restaurants. The pool was a little warm but refreshing after coming out of the whirlpool. Very clean and fresh smelling linens. Overall a great experience.

Room Tip: The front rooms face the street which are rather noisy but you can see the sun set. The back rooms...

The husband and I ventured to Asheville from Middle Tennessee to attend the Peter Frampton Concert the evening of 8/11/12 on the lawn of Biltmore Estate. I'm familiar with the area around Biltmore due to numerous visit over the last 13 years so I wanted the convenience of staying close to Biltmore, preferring a hotel along Hendersonville Road. We had never stayed at a Baymont and I was able to reserve a room just a week out from the concert. We arrived around 3:00 (check in is at 2:00 p.m.) and once in our room, the front desk called to make sure our room was alright. It was. It included a desk/chair area to set up your laptop/pad, a flat screen TV, refrigerator and coffee for the morning. The room was clean, a little tight I thougt for two queen beds but comfortable nonetheless. The bathroom was a decent size, clean and the sink/large vanity area was adequate as well. The vanity area included the wall mounted hair dryer (always nice to have but I alway take mine which was a good thing-their's quit working) that also included the coffee pot. Breakfast looked great and smelled wonderful but we had already planned to get breakfast after checking out. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: I heard more foot traffic Saturday night late before we settled in for the night but not so much tha...

We stayed a night August 2012 and it was awesome! Hotel staff was very friendly. Hotel was spotless and had everything we needed. Had a nice breakfast variety. Near lots of shopping and couple blocks from the Biltmore estate.. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed late April, and I guess I forgot to write a review.
What others say is true:
The positives: 1) The location is convenient to the Biltmore and Biltmore Village, I think taxi to downtown was under 15 dollars 2) There are several restaurants in walking distance 3) The price point is appealing 4) It is clean and comfortable 5) Staff was very friendly to us and I heard them deal very well with a difficult customer

The negatives: 1) Breakfast area is small- no problem for me as I took the food to my room 2) I get the impression it is favored by groups- including school groups which means there were a lot of kids while we were there. They had posted "no running" signs in the hall and we only had minor issues. 3) Walls are thin, but that is true of almost all hotels I have ever stayed in.

Given the price and convenience, should I return to Asheville I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

First time staying in Asheville and was there to visit the Biltmore Estate for just one day. This hotel really is 5 minutes away from the Biltmore Estate. Asheville itself is about 10-15 minutes away. The hotel was really nice but I feel it might have been a bit overpriced. But the cost is probably because of the location. The room of choice is the king suite. The bed was extremely comfortable and the continental breakfast had a good selection.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the northwest or northeast corner.

We were extremely pleased with this hotel. The location is just minutes from Biltmore, the rooms were large, clean and comfortable, it has free wifi, the breakfast was good, and the price was certainly right. It was in walking distance to a Texas Roadhouse restaurant and when we mentioned that to the desk clerk he made sure we got a 10% off coupon for the restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the back as it will be quieter.
