Downtown multi-story motel-hotel from the 1960s, with elevators, easy access to highway. Doors open to breezeways. Basic, clean and comfortable rooms with supportive beds -- furniture and carpeting typical for age and price range. Bring your favorite pillow. Internet can be slow and difficult to log on, not good for streaming. Cute pool area. Don't be put off by lobby condition, staff is very helpful, friendly, and efficient. They put out umbrellas when it rained. Walk to all downtown shopping and entertainment. On the road to Biltmore Estate. Typical free breakfast for price range, included eggs and sausage. Toilet/shower room had an exhaust fan. Good amenities: hair dryer, coffee service, tv, larger than usual refrigerator, microwave. If light sleeper try to get room away from main street as traffic noise may disturb, although not that bad. We enjoyed our stay, perfect location for enjoying downtown and easy access to other attractions. Parking free but tight.
