The title says it all, finally Great Tapas in Asheville. Chicken livers in pasta didn't sound too good but we decided to trust them and it was wonderful (pâté flavour) and was one of 5 dishes that left 2 of us nicely satisfied, not feeling stuffed. I like to cook so we eat well at home and there are very few restaurants in Asheville we would go back to a 2nd time but this is on our list for future visits. Went for my birthday but did not mention it to the staff. Alas, did not know about the birthday surprise desert, so be aware that you may be treated to a surprise desert (edable work of art - we watched as one was created) if they know the dinner is a birthday celebration. We did not reserve a table and this popular restaurant was packed on a TUESDAY! We checked in and went for a 30 min. walk to come back to a table waiting for us (they'd predicted 30-40 minute wait) so we will book next time. We were a party of 2 and actually seated at the bar. Bar stools not for us for a long sit so we'll try for a table seating next time. That said, it was fascinating to watch the chefs working like busy bees cooking and prepping - we would not have had that experience if seated at a table. Lovely evening, wonderful meal, pleasant and friendly staff. Brian was our waiter.
