If you like Indian street food, than in Asheville this is the place to go. Friendly owners and management. Good food. Great location downtown. Pleasant atmosphere.

“Great Food!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

This was the first time my girlfriend had tried Indian food. Had coconut curry chicken. It was marvelous! She loved it and is now ready to go back again!

“It was good...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

We had dinner here during one of their busy nights. We had to wait an hour to get a seat. I can understand though since they have limited number of tables. We were surprised the menu only has appetizers/snacks and only 2 main dishes. So we ordered two appetizers and one main dish. The food was medium spicy and it tasted more like home cooked meal than street food. The roti was not the usual indian restaurant roti I am not sure if its from different regiion of india. I am glad this place offers food which is different from our other indian restaurants and they are making a good attempt at offering something different and interesting. Indian customers might be disappointed but I think this place is catered more toward american customers. Overall, you should try this place at least once.

“Amazing, unique, delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Chai Pani never disappoints! Although I rarely know what it is that I'm ordering (the staff will help explain if need be), everything that I've had there is delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options, lunch offers nice smaller portion sizes of things, really good Chai and Mango Lassi drinks, and over all a great downtown restaurant.
