“great restaurant!”

We were 6 ... we all enjoyed our meals and our server was very nice and professional. Right in the heart of Asheville!

“Great Rye”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

Stopped in to try a local beer. Ordered the Rye, which was very hoppy and bitter. Outstanding. My wife ordered coffee which was a big disappointment, but hey, it's not a coffee place. Our server was very disappointed that we didn't order more, and it showed in her attitude.Still tipped well. Maybe she'll learn to hide her feelings in front of customers.

“Great first visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

We recently stopped in at the LAB for lunch while visiting downtown Asheville. The service was top notch, the food very good (my wife loved the grilled mushroom salad), and the beer superb. We are fans of porter beers and the Cell Out porter was about the best we have had anywhere. Nice relaxing atmosphere too. If we lived close, we would visit the LAB very often.

“Nice brews”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

Great place to sit at the bar sample some micro craft brews and people watch in downtown Asheville--and believe me you will see some interesting folk in downtown Asheville!! Good selection of craft brews and a nice menu for some easy and tasty foods.

“Wow, what an amazing disappointment!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

This must have been amateur cook hour because definitely there were no chefs involved. I have eaten at the lab many times. This would be the first time I would have to say "THE FOOD WAS TOTAL CRAP!" The sliders were to be cooked to medium rare, ended up being med well. Flavor was off. Truffle fries??? No truffle!!! Crap just total crap. Get drunk.
