“Food good to look at and to savor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Over the wonderful gourmet breakfast served at the Lion and The Rose B&B, we were given rave reviews on the Posano Cafe which is located near the Art Museum. It is a gluten free and they specialize in farm-to-table foods. We loved the menu with its choice of small and large plates. We chose the green tomatoes as a shared appetizer and loved the presentation with the pesto coulis. I chose the mussels appetizer as my entree and savored every bite and sopped up the garlicky chorizo broth with the grilled foccacia bread provided. My sister got the fork tender beef brisket with toasted brussel sprouts and garlicky mashed potatoes. For dessert, we shared a wonderful carmel filled shortbread bombe with toasted almond carmel house made ice cfream with raspberry coulis. The selective wine list gave us plenty of choices of wines to drink by the glass too.

“Thanks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Thank you Posana. As a person with Celiac, being able to go to a restaurant and not have any concerns about what I order was wonderful. Even if Posana was not entirely gluten-free it still would be one of my better meals. The Bison flank steak with mashed potatoes was out of this world. Our party shared all dishes that showed to the table and every single one was wonderful. Be sure to make reservations and have a worry-free dinner!

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Jan 2013- The special was butternut squash soup. It was excellent. The free range chicken was so succulent that I don't know how they cooked it perfectly without drying it out. It was nice they had a local beer on tap. The Highland Brewery St. Therese Pale Ale complemented the meal nicely. Finished with the creme brulee- not the best that I have had but definitely worth having if you are a creme brulee fan. We had to eat at the bar as the restaurant was booked. The service was good for being at the bar.

“Small, excellent portions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

This place has awesome location and food. The only drawback is there clearly needs to be 1 more bite on every plate. I will. Still return, but I do wish they had slightly bigger portions for price.

“Great Location”

It was fun to watch the people passing by as we ate at our table in the window. The food was good and service was too.
