“Such a pleasant walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Grounds are well maintained; visitors center folks friendly; great place for a bit of exercise and communicating with nature.

“Beautiful”

enjoyed a long hike then lunch at the cafe. What a surprise- the cafe serves home made items including gluten free and vegan. Worth going just for lunch.

“Rainy and worthwhile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

The day was rainy but we were determined to see the Bonsai exhibit, which was great, although some trees were still inside in winter storage. There was an azalea show indoors, with beautiful specimens.
On a nice day,the grounds would be a beautiful place to walk.

“Beautiful and relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

Interesting and informative displays of plants of many different types. There are beautiful trails to walk and enjoy being out in the woodland areas. The wildflowers were blooming during my visit, but the planted beds are enough to keep you occupied. I asked lots of questions and everyone was willing to answer. They do offer education sessions which I wish I had known about beforehand, so check if you are planning a visit as there may be something in which you will be interested. Parking is $8, but admission is free to the arboretum and all its extensive trail system.
