My husband and I decided to go to the River Arts District on Saturday morning. The place looks almost desolate in a few spots, but we decided to park and check out the shops. If you are parked a White Duck Taco, the crossfit area in the metal building across the street is a weightlifting gym. Very weird for a local gym to be in this area.
The artists all seemed very nice and welcoming and the art was wonderful. I would recommend driving to each area of the district as the sidewalks are limited.
I was hoping for more artist demonstration and I think there could be great potential to get guests more involved in this area if the artists would set up more workshops or possible hands on activities for the guests. Also, I was hoping for more pottery and woodworking places and was disappointed that there was not a lot of this type of art in the area.
