Spent the July 4th weekend in Asheville and settled for the Sleep Inn after finding out the people of Asheville think an awful lot of their hotels. We arrived 2 hours prior to check in due to heavy rains interfering with our plans to play at sliding rock. The staff was great and got us in our room within about 15 minutes. While waiting Josh recommended a couple eating and drinking establishments in town and both were among the best we visited during the weekend.
The breakfast is very good with waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausages, eggs, bagels and oatmeal. The rooms were clean and the facility nice. The drive to downtown was about 15 minutes. The staff was awesome in a town where service is average at best.
