“All Good - Great Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

This hotel used to be an old department store. When you get off the elevator for your room, a voice announces, 2nd floor, men's department. Everything about this hotel is a delight. They include breakfast and free parking. You can leave your car even after checkout.

Champagne upon arrival and when you leave they send you off with water and granola bars.
We liked this hotel so much we added 2 days at the end of our vacation just to stay there and enjoy the city.

Very nice hotel. The only thing i didnt like that are room smelled like wet dog when you would first walk in the room. . I believe they allow pets. I would spray the room with spray to cover up the smell. but other than that it is in a great location downtown. And the valet parking service was very good. and complimentary. I would stay there again.

Was in town last weekend for a girls' weekend. Felt like we were the only people staying in the hotel...not a crowded feeling. Staff was great. Great location for us to park our cars on Friday and not need them again. Parking was free too. Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I were most pleased with everything about the Haywood Park. It has a great location, super-friendly staff, a great restaurant and a very moderate price. I will definitely be back when I return to Asheville.

Room Tip: The higher the better.

The service was fabulous...but this did not seem like a three hundred dollar a night hotel! There was an odd compromise between the historic department store displays and the generic furnishings.
Fabulous bathroom, large room, and if you can afford it....best location in town!

I travel to Asheville often and always try to stay at Haywood! Their hospitality is beyond excellent! The rooms are spacious and always clean! I prefer the upper floors for quietness! I go with family and also friend trips. I will be staying there again next month.

Room Tip: Top floors

My young adult daughters and I stayed here for three days on a get away to Asheville. This is a GREAT hotel. It is a boutique hotel with HUGE rooms. The beds very comfortable. The staff so friendly and accommodating. The parking is free. Great restaurants, shopping and antiquing within easy walking distance. We made a trip to white water raft on the French Broad River and was there within 1/2 hour and The Biltmore Estate is only a few minute drive away. I have stayed at the Biltmore Inn before and I would stay here over the Biltmore Inn in a heartbeat. Because there are only 33 rooms, the staff gets to know everyone and are so friendly. The only noise you will hear in the hotel is the traffic outside on the street....which is very minimal. You can't go wrong at this hotel!
