Let me start by saying that the very best part of this Inn was Lamar, the front desk attendant. This man does his very best at trying to help people have a decent stay in a property that desperately needs renovation or demolition. Our first room had a "new" energy efficient air condition that would cycle on on off every 5 minutes or so and did absolutely nothing to control the humidity in the room. Lamar explained that this was a translational period in Florida weather and these new units wouldn't run continously. He called them the "new energy efficient units" This made the room very uncomfortable. Lamar immediately moved us to a room with an older unit air condition that was VERY NOISY but at least the room had a comfortable humidity and temperature. Did I mention the smell of this room? If you just have to stay here you will need a BIG can of Lysol to help with the smell. Horribly musty and damp, you don't feel like you can touch anything with fear of some disease. The bathroom seemed clean for the most part but the caulking around the tub and tiles was discolored (rusty appearance) and separated from the wall. The phone did not work in the second room we were given that night and it was missing the fridge. This is clearly a property that needs attention and needs it about 5 years ago. Not that the hotel could help this but there was a teenage boys soccer team staying at the Inn and they were so noisy and inconsiderate that at one point our bed was shaking from their disruptive behavior. I wouldn't stay here again if the room was free.
