We were inn Homestead to visit family again. We stayed at Courtyard again. Our stay was nearly perfect…again. The service was everything that it should have been (with a minor exception: the drain plug in the bathtub was broken and it took two calls to get it fixed). This place is right off the Florida Turnpike. The staff is always helpful and eager to help. The cost is about what you would expect though we got a slightly lower rate through a third-party website. The property is newer and well kept. It has a small restaurant in the lobby area. The menu is somewhat limited but still a nice place to get a bite for breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is eggs, French toast, cereals or breakfast sandwiches. Dinner (something new for Courtyard) is burgers, sandwiches, soup, wings. It’s nice offering if you don’t want to go out. Room service is not available. The rooms are standard size but with updated décor. The bed is comfortable. The desk is two parts; a fixed portion and a movable section on casters. Very convenient if you need an L-shape or need a table elsewhere in the room. Wi-Fi is free but telephone calls are 75 cents. The room includes a microwave and a very small refrigerator, no freezer. The number of towels provided is somewhat limited. If more than 2 people are staying in the room, you may need to ask for more. We called ahead with a specific request for pillows and they were ready when we arrived. There is a shopping plaza across the street with a supermarket, fast food chain and several other eateries. Within a half mile are Red Lobster and Longhorn Steakhouse. This is the place that we stay when in Homestead.
