“Excellent food and dish presentation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

We live in near Homestead and decided to try the place with awkward hours of operation. The food was superb and the dishes presentation was excelent! I had the Mongolian Pork and my husband the Mofongo with Pork and we were very pleased with what we chose. The Staff is friendly and make you feel at home. We've been wanting to go again but they close too early.
Try it, you won't be disappointed!

All the food was excellent and the lava cake is beyond excellent. Great service and wonderful people. Spent time talking to the chef and his wife. A memorable experience.

“Really Good Food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

We love finding restaurants like this. TripAdvisor reviews come thru again. This is a very small, family run restaurant with excellent food. We were on a first name basis with the chef and his wife after 2 visits. The Mongolian Pork is a must. The Churrasco beef is delicious. Check the website for hours, they are not open late during the week. Get reservations for Fri or Sat. Linda gave them some $$ for their upcoming Miami Food and Wine festival. You should go eat this food!

“Incredible Little Restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

What a find! On a trip through the Everglades we stumbled onto this small restaurant and had one of the best meals of our entire vacation. We spent 10 days in Naples, Florida dining at top reviewed places there, including the Ritz-Carleton, and let me assure you, they have nothing on Chef Jodrick I. Ujaque. His food is exceptional and the menu is diverse...there is something for every taste. We had the pork loin chops with herb ginger sauce, the salmon with honey miso glaze and pork mofongo followed by all three desserts that featured that evening. Absolutely outstanding. And as fresh and locally sourced as you can get. The menu and the specials are decided based on what is available at the market that day. After dinner the chef/ownerf came out and visited with us and I can't say we were surprised to learn that Chefs on the Run has been invited to the prestigious Food Network South Beach Wine & Food festival in Miami (an invitation extended to only 40 restaurants).

“Great dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Greeted by a very friendly waiter that seemed to enjoy explaining the menu. The chef personally greeted us with a plate of tasty bread. We ordered surullitos with criolla sauce for an appetizer and it was excellent. The chicken mofango and arroz con gandules was superb. My wife had pork loin chops with citrus chimcharris sauce, also excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for an wonderful friendly Puerto Rican casual dining experience. Tell the chef Bob and Sue from Pennsylvania sent you.
