Owner description: If you had visited Coral Castle in the 1940s you would have been greeted enthusiastically by a man weighing a mere 100 pounds and standing just over 5 feet tall. He would have asked you for ten cents admission and introduced you to his fantasy world. Since it is documented that no one ever witnessed Ed's labor in building his beloved Coral Castle, some have said he had supernatural powers. Ed would only say that he knew the secrets used to build the ancient pyramids and if he could learn them, you could too. Today, you can tour the Coral Castle with our tour guides. Narration available in English, Spanish, French or German, Japanese, and Russian. Features of the Coral Castle Museum include a 9-ton gate, a Polaris telescope. We invite you to witness for yourself what millions saw on national TV's "Ancient Aliens" "Sabado Gigante's Don Francisco" "Good Morning America" "That's Incredible" "In Search Of..." "You Asked For It!" and "Ripley's Believe It or Not". Billy Idol wrote his hit song, "Sweet Sixteen" just for us. Coral Castle is one of the Top 10 Historic Hot Spots in South Florida!!

“Gotta see it...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

... to believe it... that a solo folk built this place. It's the equivalent to the pyramids when you start thinking about the physics of the construction and that a single skinny man figured it all out... and in a very creative design.

It's important to watch the video and take the guided tour. Both add lots to narrative that's in the guide you get. Plus... the young ladies in the gift shop are very helpful in answering any Q's you may have after you leave the castle.

Be sure to check out the Masonic symbols within the castle.

BTW, the $15 per is worth every penny... it's that unique.

“Cool work of art”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

I had some family in from out of town, and was looking for something new to show them, so I decided to take them to Coral Castle in Homestead. At the entrance to the grounds, Ed Leedskalnin (the gent that built it) put a sign at the entrance of his attration that reads "you will be seeing unusual accomplishment". He wasn't kidding!!! It's pretty amazing that he was able to build the entire place all on his own using just simple hand tools. Granted he did make use of wooden tripods and old hoists, it's still a mystery how he was able to put chunks of granite that weigh tons into certain positions with no help from anyone. Perhaps he pulled a page from the Egyptians' building technique handbook? No one knows, but never will.

If you're a Florida resident, stop by the gift shop and show them your driver's license and they will give you a buy one get one pass for your next visit.

“Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Went here with my son & husband after seeing it on TV. The National Geographic 's "ancient aliens" series, featured this place & we got intrigued. The admission fees were fair, the room of the stone carver , Mr. Edward Leedskalnin was spooky. Over all, it was good to know/visit a place as historic as this... just in our neighborhood.

“A Little Bit of WOW!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

After visiting Florida countless times, we saw an ad for Coral Castle and figured" sure, why not?". It was pretty amazing to see what the human spirit can accomplish . However this place was created, it's definitely worth seeing. If you've got a an hour and a few bucks extra( admission not quite a great value) take the guided tour and see for yourself.

“World's Most Unusual Accomplishment and Miami's Most Hidden Secret”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

This is 1,100 tons of coral rock mystery. I take my out of town friends to Coral Castle before visiting south beach. We spend hours trying to figure out how Edward Leedskalnin moved the stones. If you haven't visited Coral Castle plan on going this weekend.
