“Wonderful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

It's off the beaten path in a residential neighborhood but worth the trip. Lots of great food and the price was terrific. The service was friendly and helpful. Order the sopapilla for dessert and you won't be disappointed, but you might want to share. It's the size of a dinner plate!

“Love the food and patio”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

I went to La Junta for a ride and stopped for dinner. Just happened to come across Mexico City Cafe. The food was excellent (and an excellent value) and eating out on the patio made a very relaxing stop. Plan to go back down with some friends and spend a little more time.

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

Not only is the food fantastic here and the service fast and friendly, the atmosphere inside is like going to a restuarant in Mexico. Be careful though because the portions are very big. mmmmmmm great food will definitley go back next time I am in La Junta.

“Where the local folks eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

At the recommendation of the gift shop person (Koshare Museum) we went here. Don't let the entry and outside fool you! It's a very warm, inviting inside and the staff were very accomodating! And yes, locals could tell we were "not from there" and extended smiles and "howdy's". Would definitely go back.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Mexico City has by far the best atmosphere of any restaurant that I personaly have ever been too. The service was great and everyone that worked there was so nice and friendly. The food tasted great and I personally enjoyed my meal to the fullest. I must say that Mexico City is my favorite place to eat now because of the service, the atmosphere, and the food. I wouldn't mind going there every night if i could.
