This small museum is worth the visit (especially if you are on the way to Bandelier, because there is nothing else to see in Los Alamos). Not only are the science displays very well done and accessible for all ages above 7, the museum recaps one of the most important eras during WWII. There are many copies of unclassified original documents that are worth reading. It is appalling that the brightest minds of the era came together here to build a bomb that would kill more than 200000 humans. The letter of Albert Einstein to President Roosevelt warning about the dangers of nuclear research is particularly touching.
