“Worth the Stop”

We got there just before they stopped serving the breakfast burrito and thank goodness....it was really terrific. We'll ba passing through again later this year and know where breakfast will be, at least for one day!

“Best breakfast burrito in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2010

Although the location (a small shack) might be intimidating to vacationers, locals are accustomed to shifting around in the small shack while waiting for their food. I can't say that I've tried anything other than the breakfast burrito, but the breakfast burritos are unbeatable!! The staff is surprisingly pleasant and the service is super fast. Not only is the food fantastic, but also affordable. Absolutely a great breakfast hot-spot!

Note**Always bring cash or checks, as they do not accept credit cards.

They don't accept credit cards, and no receipts. Not friendly, but food is OK...

“A gem! Great burritos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2008

After vacationing in the Los Alamos area, I finally decided to see what all the hoopla was about with this place...I went today to Chili Works and ordered just a plain bean burrito - got whole pinto beans with red chile on the side since I'm adverse to eating spicy foods. Got the burrito (it cost $4.25 with tax) and it was pretty tasty. I might try the refried beans next time. The red chile was spicy indeed, but I was able to handle it. I checked the breakfast burritos on the menu, and it all looked good. The biker guy behind the counter was super-nice, so don't pass up this place. It literally is a shack, so don't be fooled by that, either.
Warning: they are only open from 6AM-1PM Monday thru Friday, and 6AM-noon I think on Saturday, closed Sunday, so plan accordingly. Everytime I drive by, there are lots of cars in the lot, so for me, that's a good sign. Try it!

“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2008

This is the coolest little Burrito shack ran by bikers. I had a steak breakfast burrito with red chile and it was FAT! I ate 1/2 of it then took the other half to the mountain (Pajarito) to ski and ate the rest later. Was full all day. The guys are in there cooking and taking money with their leathers and patches on, adorable! It was almost $6 though. But hey, it was huge and it was steak and potatoes and it was two meals in one for me. Will definately have a to go by there each morning when I'm in town next year. Cool!
