We stayed here with our two sons while on a cross country trek. It is in a desolate area that closes down at night. Food is available 2 minutes away at the Cedar Pass Lodge in Badlands National Park, or 5 minutes south in Interior (limited selection at both, but adequate). This is run by the Oglala Sioux tribe. It is of the 2 story motor inn variety. Well-cared for but nothing fancy. Very clean and friendly. There are FLIES here! There is a fly-swatter in every room for a reason, and when you first enter you spend the next 5 minutes using it. After we cleaned them up we had no more problems with them and didn't see anymore. Just chalk it up to the local color!
T.V.'s are what my kids termed "old fashioned" but completely adequate. We enjoyed sitting outside on the bench in the evening watching a lightning storm in the distance and chatting with the other folks staying there. You have plenty of time to watch the rabbits hop around and the distant cows graze. It is quiet, quiet, quiet. Your view of the Badlands is second to none.
There is no elevator, so ask for a 1st floor room if you have mobility problems.
A pleasant place, nothing fancy about it, clean and friendly, in a great location.
