This is definitely an old hotel. I think the term to use is "functional." You need a cheap place to sleep in a pinch? This will do. What takes it from 3 to 2 star rating is the rather inconsistent front desk staff (and lack of any other when you need them). One woman in the front is quite friendly and helpful. The rest, well... The breakfast buffet is perfectly fine. The rooms in general let in a fair amount of noise from the hallway, and those by the elevator are therefore even noisier. Woe to the traveler or business person who needs uninterrupted sleep. If you have business in one of the major companies (Booz, SAIC) nearby, then you are centrally located. Otherwise, you'll want a car for everything - especially heading to the malls and nearby restaurants. It's not a pedestrian friendly area. At least its not an expensive hotel.

The hotel is old, but it provides everything you may need at your stay. The room is large. We were three peple and it was very comfortable for us. The beds are cozy. Breakfast was perfect.
I definitely recommend it.

Of course if your a perfectionist that nit picks EVERY little detail of a hotel and are looking for a LAVISH Hilton type hotel with "UPDATED" drapery and wallpaper (as if that matters anyway) and you have $300 to drop on a room each night, then you are looking at the wrong hotel. If you are looking for a clean, SIMPLE, VERY AFFORDABLE ($98/night) comfortable, cool, quiet, relaxing hotel that you can bring your family to, with cable tv, an indoor pool and an AMAZING full buffet breakfast in the morning, then THIS is your hotel! The buffet was equivalent or BETTER than what you could find at a Shoneys, or Golden Corral restaurant....eggs, toast, bagels, cereal, bacon, sausage, pastries, belgian waffles, coffee, milk, juice etc!!!!!! The staff was VERY accomadating and to my suprise they had Pantene Pro V shampoo in the bathrooms...big PLUS : ) The only thing I can say that I was dissapointed about SLIGHTLY was the elevator was having a few issues, but was straightened out while we were there. YOU WILL BE PLEASED IF YOU BOOK HERE, trust me, my husband can be VERY PICKY and he LOVED IT here! : )

It is an older hotel and in need of redecorating (a lighter palette and better lighting would really brighten it up) BUT it is very clean and staff are accommodating.

My only real complaint occurred at check in. We have to be here for 2 weeks so I got a 2-room suite. Reserved 4 months in advance; verified 2 months later, verified again 1 month prior to arrival abd verified again 3 days before arrival. Got here and was told no suite ... I had to get a manager and be angry (I am here for 2 weeks with 2 kids and reserved & verified several times - you WILL find me a suite). He did 'find' a suite in 2 minutes - BUT seriously what the heck ????

Other than that:

Nice free breakfast; helpful staff; spacious suite; CLEAN -- all good things.

A/C could be better; far too limited TV channels (I don't need HBO but it would be nice to have ABC/CBS/NBC instead of 6 versions of FOX and a bunch of shopping channels); pool doesn't open until 5pm and while clean is very barren/depressing looking ....

This is fine place to stay - my eldest is attending a student program being held here, which is why we decided to stay here too - BUT it would take very minor tweaks to make it a nice place to stay.
