Enjoyed a great dinner last Thursday at this restaurant in McLean. They have about a half dozen tables where you can sit outside. Was a pleasant evening and a great meal. However, as the restaurant sits right on Old Dominion Drive traffic from the road was a bit noisy. As the evening progressed in was unnoticeable. Extensive wine list and also a very varied menu with many selections to choose from. One minor observation although not a complaint is I wish this an other restaurants would give diners (particularly couples who are on an obvious "date) some time once they are seated to peruse the wine list and the menu. Most people (including me) at a new restaurant would like to view the whole menu and discuss options with their guests before being "rushed" to make a menu selection. I also enjoy some time to share the wine before we need to make a menu selection as I prefer the 2 hour dining experience at a fine restaurant. Once we made our selections, however, or various courses, the timing on delivery of the courses was very good...not feeling rushed to find space on the table or needing to hurry to finish the previous course. I had the Raviolini which was ravioli with veal and it was very good. My date had the Orichette which also was very tasty. Overall this was an enjoyable meal at a nice authentic Italian restaurant with nice ambiance in McLean. I would recommend and go there again.
