“Two Fine Nights in Moab”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2009

In the sweltering heat of Moab in July, Sunflower Hill was a cool, green oasis. We prefer Inns to B&B's (don't like sleeping in someone's home), and this one was as good as any we've stayed in over the years. Lovely accomodations, warm and welcoming staff, excellent location, nice amenities, and a bountiful, well-prepared breakfast. One morning we needed to get out early for a Colorado river excursion, and at our request, prepacked breakfasts were waiting for us in the common fridge when we arose - fresh fruit, yogurt, house granola, fresh-baked muffins, and more. Like that breakfast, the entire experience more than met our expectations.

We stayed at the Sunflower Inn for two nights in early July and had a wonderful visit. The inn is well-kept, quiet, thoughtful and pleasant. The breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful. The Sunflower is a charming place to stay while visiting Moab!

At reception when we checked inn, it was clear that the owners know what it is to run a bed and breakfast. Also when you look around all is clean and well maintained.
Breakfast is splendid. We are well aware that every body has a different standards but I think you may put your standard quiet high before they might be challanged. 2 remarks not much shade around the pool and it is a bed and breakfast.

Great B&B. Somewhat expensive for Moab, but worth it. Convienent location, nice accomodations and friendly hosts.

Stayed 3 nites here in May 09. Rather pricey (IMO) but I would stay there again. Room was excellent, reasonably large, well-appointed, comfortable bed, excellent bath, quiet. Owners/staff were helpful and accessible. Breakfasts were excellent - plenty of choices and prepared well.

Since I am the original nit-picker, I feel honor-bound to provide a couple of "opportunities". First, at this price level, I would have expected a served breakfast as opposed to a buffet. Second, the a/c (which is essential in this climate), was poorly designed. It handled early May ok, but I would hesitate about staying here in July. Third, a walk-up computer for internet access would have been nice.

What a great place! Green, quiet and relaxing all are fitting to describe it. Very friendly service: just the welcome amount of attention (not too much, not too little). We had their smallest room (the garden room), but we were very pleased with it. Fun pool, awesome jacuzzi. And you can rent for free any video from their rather large collection. Wireless internet access as well. Nice breakfast. Close near the center of Moab.
