We spent three nights at the Best Western Canyonlands...one before and two after a four-day raft trip with Western River Expeditions. The location, right in the middle of Moab, can't be beat. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the room was much more elegant than I had expected. The pool is very nice, but was crowded with employees and their family members. When we went to check out the first time, very early in the morning, we had to track down an employee who was playing a DOOM-style game on a computer in the back. When we went to check out the second time, I called the front desk and asked if the hotel had anyone who could help with luggage, as my husband had thrown out his back and I am disabled. The lady I spoke with said, "Ummmm, no, we really don't have anyone." Our room was between two small sets of stairs that wouldn't even permit us to bring a luggage cart down the hall, so I dragged our 7 large bags down the hall and up the stairs. I was watched by a number of male employees who were eating breakfast in the guest breakfast room. In summary, a very nice location with obviously slack management.
