We stayed at the Best Western Canyonlands for 4 nights (May 15-18) while in Moab. We had a clean comfortable room on the first floor near the front desk (made it easy to bring in the luggage) but also near the ice machines (a plus and a minus). The room had a coffee maker and a small refrigerator. The breakfast that was included in the room cost was one of the better ones we have tried with a wide selection of breakfast foods. An Italian restaurant, Pasta Jay's was situated right next to the Best Western and made it a convenient place to walk to for dinners. The Best Western is conveniently located so that you can walk to most places in downtown Moab. There was a small pool, hot tub and free internet service available. Our experience with the Best Western Canyonlands was very pleasant one and we would stay there on a return to Moab. We do recommend staying at this place if you are considering staying in Moab.

Best Western Canyonlands definitely exceeded my expectations. Anticipating a run of the mill, ho hum BW hotel I found instead a very desirable facility. Rooms were very well appointed and I was told that the entire facility had been recently remodeled. Breakfasts were complementary and included scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, yoghurt, muffins, cold cereal, coffee and juice. Zach is an excellent, attentive manager who made every effort to make our stay an excellent one. The hotel ownership and management appears to have high quality as their top priority.

The hotel was recently remodeled and done very nicely. Breafeast (included) was quite good. Internet access in lobby was helpful in confirming flight (Apple desktop supplied). Great location, can walk to all shops and most restaurants.

Booked room 7 months in advace and requested 2nd floor. Request couldn't be honored upon arrival. No explenation given !

One evening the pool was taken over by locals sneaking in and making alot of noise. Upon notifiying front desk the people in the pool remained quite but were not removed.

This is the best Best Western I've stayed in. Large (they say oversize) rooms with two separate wash basin areas (one in with bath/shower room) so my wife and I didn't need to stagger the morning preparations!
Included cooked breakfast was okay and cookies and coffee in the evenings very welcome after hard days activities - white water rafting,Hummer drives, walks in Canyonlands and Arches - as was the outdoor fair size pool area. Free use of Internet in reception (I dont take a laptop on holiday!)
The hotel is in the centre of Moab across from the best pub/restaurant, Eddie McStiffs, and close to all the shops and outfitters (who can arrange any activity for you).

Just returned from 7 nights of family spring break at Best Western Canyonlands. Overall, a very good spot to establish a base for exploring this great area -- Arches National Park is 5 minutes up the road, Canyonlands National Park is 30 minutes away (and there are no closer hotels, just campgrounds), the Colorado River is right there, and Four Corners, Natural Bridges National Monument, and Monument Valley are all a day-trip away.

The property was completely renovated a few months ago and it shows. The room was very large, with two queen beds with excellent mattresses. The fridge was nice, a microwave would have been nicer. They had some trouble with the hot tub while we were there and the manager was very accommodating about our request for a discount because of the loss of the hot tub. The breakfast was very good, lots of variety -- eggs, french toast and waffles, cereal, fruit & yogurt, etc.

Security seemed a little lax -- several doors that supposedly needed keys would open without them, or were propped open all day -- but it didn't seem like crime would be much of a problem in Moab. The hotel was smack dab in the middle of town, across from the Visitor's Center and easy walking distance to just about everything. We'd definitely go back.
