“Surprisingly Great Food!”

Great Prime Rib and Alfredo. Loved the bread service, and the views cannot be beat. You're dining right on the Colorado River!

“Great food & atmosphere at a bargain price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

We went to this restaurant as an after thought. All we knew is that we wanted to get out of Moab for an evening. The drive to the Red Cliffs Lodge, where The Cowboy Grill is located, is beautiful. SR128 follows the Colorado River and road is surronded on either side by the overpowering red cliffs that make this area so unique. We did not expect to have an outstanding dining experience, but it was. The trout dinner (a real bargain @ $18) was superbly prepared and generous in its portions. And surprise! Utah wines (Castle Creek) are quite nice. Flan was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m a flan fanatic. And Chad was an excellent waiter -- non-intrusive, knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely return.

“Good food and beautiful view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Chad did a beautiful job serving us. He was attentive but not overly so. He recommended the house-made red wine blend, which we enjoyed. My trout and my husband's ribs were very good. He liked the fact that the ribs weren't overly sweet and saucy. The menu has several choices but nothing especially exciting or different.
It is worth the drive along the Colorado River to get here and sit in a table at a window overlooking the red cliffs which are reflected in the river. The buildings and grounds are beautifully rustic and western. It was fun to look at the movie museum and realize how many movies and tv shows have been made in this area.

“Excellent food & service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

In addition to the great food, service and views...the prices are very reasonable. They will also set you up with a box lunch for your day hiking around in beautiful Moab.
